Look for a place off the beaten tracks? well, this one really is but the detour is well worth it. Modern scandinavian design with no fake hops and barley, very inetresting and well-brewed home beers of steady quality. If you can, do not hesitate to come.
A real discovery for tourist-trap-tired beer lovers. The dreary building at the busy street will suddenly unveil its riches as soon as you enter and let yourself be seated with a view at a vast green space - a sort of garden with a minor drinking station in the middle. Very nice service, 5 beers to try, 11 svetle seemed the best, IPA much overhyped. Anyway, it is worth a TRIP /to use MICHELIN/ for the ambience and beers combined.
Very beautiful place with a large garden where enjoy a good beer when good weather !!! 4 beers on tap and extensive menu .. All the beers are more than ok and no diacetyl at all !!! Modern and cool ,it worth the visit for sure !!!!
Nice modern brewpub in the suburbs of Prague. Tram 22 to Nadrazi Hostivar and then 2 stops with bus 125, walk by Lidl and its here. Sounds like a hassle, but well worth it. Was there just after opening time, and the placed filled up quickly. Mostly familes having lunch. Nice indoor seating, quite modern, lots of glas, wood, concrete, and a nice garden with a small playground for the kids. Wifi, english menu, english speaking service. 5 Beers on tap at our visit, all very nice and fresh. Didnt eat but food looked very nice. Very good prices. Will try and get back here next time in Prague. After the visit we took bus 125 to Haje for Jihomestsky Pivovar.
Got on the 22 tram and rode all the way to Hostivalska or similar, then switched to bus 175 to Repicka, then a short walk. Visited Thursday May 21, 2015. Arrived around 19:00 (7pm). Had a brewery tour booked that we started with, then sat down for dinner and also to sample their beers. Smallish brewery, large enough restaurant. Nice enough food, decent enough beers. Does lie somewhat out ot the city, but fun to visit still. Also I like brewery tours, so that’s a plus for me.
As if a scandinavian brewpub had been erected by mistake not in - for example - Malmö, but in the eastern outskirts of Praha: that is the first impression You get, when enter Pivovar Hostivar. A light and ample modern tap-room with a patio (euphemistically called "zahrada" = "garden") all interior and exterior dominated by wood, concrete and steel; four - usually very good - beers are served by the friendly staff. During my visit I had the opportunity to see the small brewery and to talk to the friendly and knowledgeable young brewer Mr. Tržíl.
