2008: Came back three times in four days, and was happy with it every time. Downstairs area is by far preferable. Service with a big smile, and understood my English/sign language combination just fine. Only negative is that at this best place in town to drink more than one beer they were a little slow to pick up my empty glass. Three solid meals, and at very reasonable prices.
Re-rate 2011: In just a couple of years, new interesting bars have shown up with many more taps and a quicker rotation. But here you’re guaranteed beer in perfect condition, good service and of course a huge bottle selection if you have the time for that. Still a must-visit.
A little out of the way, but easily walkable from the Old Town. Half a dozen taps, some interesting ones, but nothing crazy. No small pours, but the bartender offered samples. Big bottle selection, but it wasn't a very interesting one. You can give this place a miss - way better places in town.
My AirBnB was almost next door to this place (good trip planning). Upstairs looks like a beer shop - bar tables surrounded by shelves of bottles, plus a serving bar. Downstairs has a serving bar, a few bar tables, and lots of restaurant tables. You can order draft beers, bottles and/or food upstairs or down. Service was quick, friendly and efficient. Six taps included five local beers and a Belgian, one local beer was a De Molen collab. Bottle list is extensive. Food was decent enough, and filling. Hard to compare prices since it was my first place in Prague, but a meal and four drafts was 300 koruna, about $15. It's on the same block as the Florenc Metro and across the street from the Flixbus station.
A great bar away from the tourist trail but within easy reach of the city centre. There’s one light and airy room upstairs and a basement bar. The tables are mainly high top and you may need to share as there are only two round ones for four people, the rest being long benches. It’s a bit like a canteen with beer - in a good way; it’s somehow cosy and has a nice atmosphere.
The beer list is very good and the beers were all very fresh. There are six taps and a large number of bottles which are available to drink in or take away. There’s also an extensive menu of snacks and meals. Like the bottle selection, the food was traditional fare (and, I must say, very tasty).
The service was excellent - just the right amount of attentiveness, efficient and knowledgeable.

cozy and local ambiance. some belgians and lots of czech beers are available. foods are really delicious. one of the most cheapest places in town. recommend.
6 draught Czech beers, a mixture of traditional & more modern styles. Large choice of bottled beer to take away. Food menu looked traditional / substantial. Only a short walk from Florenc Metro & Main Bus station. Recommended.
Moge równiez polecic menu lunchowe, w niskich cenach mozna zjesc przyzwoitej wielkosci prawdziwy czeski obiad. Obsluga chetna do pomocy ale nad angielskim mogliby popracowac.
Visited here twice during our stay. Both times we were welcomed by the staff. Six draught beers, two AIPA styles, one dark, one wheat, one lager and a pale ale. Bottle selection looked extensive, the ones we tried were generally excellent and the staff were very good at recommending beers to us. Food was reasonable too. (visited 14/6/17 and 17/6/17)
