We visited again on May 1st 2014. Although the service this time was not so good, we love this place. We were sitting outside, perfect temperature and enjoyed a Pizza and great beers.

I love this place! The pizza ranks among the best I’ve ever had. The tap menu is something absurd like 20 in-house and 20 visiting. I didn’t even look at the bottles because I didn’t want to confuse myself and pass out. Oh yeah: they have video games and picnic tables. If you’re a grownup who’s actually 10, you will love drinking beer in this beach-mood hideaway.
Beer is great and unique to it’s location. The brewery tanks are in open view. The food is great. Although family friendly does not apply to me personally, it is cool this is a family friendly place. It is awesome they also serve half pints and those behind the bar are definitely knowledgable on their beers which is super awesome. We were also very happy to chat/see some of the brewers while there. I imagine this is common. Great place!

Great Brew Pub/Pizza joint. Located in heart of downtown Carlsbad, and a quick 5-7 minute walk to Carlsbad State Beach. Selection is insane: from their ever-changing selection if great in-house brews, to their inclusion of other local standouts like Stone, Ballast Point, etc., to their beers from Russian River(on occasion) and other top quality craft beers, I haven’t found a better place in San Diego for my taste(Stone Bistro is close, but its a little upscale). Food is very good quality, as well. The bottle shop next door is amazing.
This place is amazing. My first place I went to in the area. A cool vibe here, some part pizza place, some part brewery, some part surfer hideout. Over 15 of their beers on tap, I tried them all! The service was the best I’ve even had bar none. The server kept bringing samples and explaining everything, she was very enthusiastic about the beer. Didn’t eat there, but I should have. A slice of pizza is 2 bucks! Just an amazing place.
