Great bottle shop connected to one of my favorite breweries on earth. You can find a lot of rare beers from California but also a great international beer selection. We were drinking a Schlenkerla in the shop.
I decided to walk over here while we were waiting for our pizza next door. Atmosphere was decent, one or two people milling around looking at bottles but other than that it is a typical bottle shop. Quality was pretty good. I didn’t see any out of date bottles and they had some nice glasses but the space seemed a little rough around the edges. Service was good, typical "do you need any help," but I was just browsing. Selection was solid, lots of different beers from all over the world with plenty of local options represented as well. I did see a few bottles I would be interested in but the prices were a bit high for my tastes so I passed on them. Overall a nice bottle shop, definitely worth the stop if you are going to Pizza Port but I wouldn’t go out of my way to stop in.
If I lived nearby I would be there all the time especially when they got a new shipment in!! Nicely laid out in coolers, got myself a few beers I couldn’t get in FL, would definitely go back if/when I’m next in Carlsbad!!
Good place with friendly staff and great beer. Not many true rarities during my visit - had been picked clean during the weekend - but still got my hands on a few odd ones. Overall a lot of stuff including lots of Danish and Belgian beer.
Tiny little bottle shop next to the restaurant/brewery. Lots of top-notch beers, 100% refrigerated. Saw a few gems and landed on one (not like me, I know!). Guy at checkout clearly knew his shit. Love the adjoining beer store/brewery concept...lets make this happen more often!
Cool place with LOTS of beers to pick from. Up until recently you could open bottles there too. Never quite understood why people would want to do that but there were always at least a few people enjoying something in there.
Prices are pretty steep but where else can you get some of this stuff? Hopefully they get their liquor license issues sorted out and at least stay open, even if you cant drink in there anymore.
Nice little bottleshop located adjacent to the brewpub. They usually have some obscure stuff to try, they get all the limited releases, etc. Staff is usually quite nice. You can also drink beers you buy there in the store. Nice little outdoor area to hangout in as well.
