Plaza Liquors is honestly the best liquor store in the state of Arizona. I lived in Phoenix for years, and every 2 months or so I would make a trip down to Tucson just to visit Plaza Liquors and stock up. Now I live in Flagstaff and the drive is twice as long, yet I still make the drive down about every 3-4 months just to visit and bring back home hard to find brews. They not only have the best assortment of singles in the state, they have the nicest and most knowledgeable staff one could ask for. You will truly be amazed by their assortment of hard to find craft beers in singles.
My local, they will always have a soft spot in my heart, and in my years of travel I always get reminded how lucky I am to have a place so near by tht is willing to work so easily with me on any of my beery needs.

The best beer store I have ever been to in my life hands down. Massive massive selection of micro’s, lots of rare, imports, seasonals, and you can mix your own six and they are fine with breaking sixes. The people that work here are some of the coolest people in town, I always spend at least 20 minutes chatting with Stout or Randy about beer. This is probably the best place to buy beer in the whole world.
Since the late 80’s, the best place to get great bottled beer in Tucson. Early on, they had things from Merchant du Vin like Aass Bock (greatly missed), but they’ve progressed from that to many wonderful beers from around the world that they love, and what’s more, their wine/absinthe/spirit list is as good as you’re gonna get. I’ve scored Jopen’s Koyt here, ’nuff said. 5 Star rating, yeah.
This place is still awesome. A fairly small store that is packed with good liquor and wine, but there beer selection is impressive. A very large selection of beer is available, all available as singles. They have probably over 400 Arizona and western region (CO, NM and CA) micros a very nice selection of Belgians, as well as a diverse selection of odds and ends from other countries. The sales staff is very friendly and everyone there really knows the stock, and seems genuinely interested in beer too. Customer service is outstanding. Both times I purchased more than a couple of six packs, the cases were carried out to my car, no questions asked. A MUST stop if you are in the area. One of my favorite beer stores of all time.
This place ROCKS! funny, Iv shopped here before for the hard stuff and when I heard it was a beer haven I didn’t even need my GPS (being from NY) to get there. The girls at the register were eating Brooklyn Pizza when I walked in and didn’t hesitate to guide me to the Gubna! Great selection! I can easily go broke in this place!
I’m so happy I bought a house in this town.
Great store for beer, wine and liquor. Theit beer selection is huge, and the staff friendly and knowledgable.
The staff is very willing to order new and unusual beers. They have special-ordered Panil Barriquee, several Berliner Weisses, and other beers for me.
Also, one of the few places in Tucson that carry the excellent Anchor Distilling Junipero Gin.
My go to place for beer in Tucson. Owner is great and very helpful (even though he is more of a wine guy). Everything available in AZ pretty much and all in singles. Good belgian, german and of course west coast micro selection. I think they only have a bout 2 small shelves of BMC. Best in AZ!!
