Unfortunately, Portland is no longer around. It was bought out by Pryamid brewing. The beer was good. They have and 11 beer sampler. All was better then your adverage beer. The wheat aie was one of my favorites while there. The food was good and the service was great. We had a group of six and waitress had no problem in handling our rowdiness.
Located quite out of the way in northwest Portland, this is off the beaten path and in an unattractive industrial district. That said, the place is nice, but it’s got mostly Pyramid and MacTarnahan’s on tap, with a few by PBC. So, beer is weak but clean. Service was very friendly. You can do a flight of 5 x 6 oz for $8, which is a good deal. Wouldn’t bother coming here.
Visited during Zwickelmania 2015. Pleasant restaurant / tap room located in a rather gritty industrial section of the city. 16 taps were on, including the Pyramid regulars, four seasonals, and two special featured brews. Samplers available. Good pub grub menu. The beer was surprisingly good.
Pretty awesome place. Open, a nice outside space. A medium sized bar. Looks like a German style restaurant. Good food, decent prices. Had a few special taps. Great service. Odd location I guess, but very fun place. Kid friendly.
Located in the industrial side of town, Portland Brewing is a pretty nice facility that’s homogenized. They have some pretty good deals on growlers on Fridays, and the beer is always decent if never spectacular (it being Pyramid and MacTarnahan’s). The Shepherd’s/Scottish pie is pretty good, but I’ve also had a number of meals here that have made me want my money back since it’s basic pub grub. It’s comfortable and clean and you’ll find yourself rubbing elbows with lunching workers rather than beer geeks.
Now part of the Pyramid empire, this place has retained all of the original charm. The beer is all Pyramid brews and Mac’s beers. The food is decent, I highly recommend the Mac’s Pie. A great hidden location with very nice ambiance.

You would never think as you drive to this brewery that you would find this here. Sitting in the middle of an industrial area here is a great German pub. Loved the German atmosphere we had a great time here and Fridays after work this place was rocking. The brewery used to be the Portland Brewing Co. Then took over by Pyramid and they changed the name. They brew the best MacTartahans Amber ale. Special dock sales all the time and Oktoberfest was fun there also. We got to try some awesome fun new beers when they were experimenting back in the old days. The Garlic fries are some of the best ever.
Nice place, although I was hoping for a bit more from the beer selection, maybe a few beers that they don’t have in bottles or something. The food was great, service was fast. Without some beers that I can’t get in the markets I don’t see myself returning all that often though.
