Started my Saturday pub crawl here because they opened at 10am. Very crowded and only place I had to wait for a seat during my whole trip. The flight was reasonable priced, but the beers were only average at best.

Modern place a little further out of Gastown from Alibi Rooms. The brewery can be seen in the entrance. Benches and wooden tables give the place a soulless atmosphere. They tried to compensate by playing loud music. Flights of 4 beers available, but half the beers, and the best ones at that, had already been sold out.

Visited first time on Sunday June 21, 2015.
Arrived at 13:00, stayed for beer samples, left at 13:30. Took the number 7 bus from Waterfront a few stops. Very shady area with lots of homeless people and addicts. Nice enough place though. Was about half filled to more with guests. Plenty of servers, also service was fast and very friendly. Beer tours seem to be available. Had 5 beers on this day. Flight is 4 beer of 5 oz. No wifi here. Some soft music playing. Guess parking is on street just outside, but I wouldn’t leave my car in that area for too long. Didn’t eat.

Big historic building, housing brewery, winery and restaurant. It’s splashy, I like it. The beers are ho-hum, and you could have just as much fun with a wine flight and a charcuterie board. So it’s a nice space, but the beer isn’t strong enough to draw us back. We were more thinking we’d go back for the food, which was solid.

Update - New brewer is producing a much better quality beer. A nice turn around although everything else remains the same. - A stunning restoration in a less than desirable neighbourhood. Trendy almost to the point of distraction, surrounded by rich retirees and businessmen service suffered. I asked one question for my drink and was promptly forgotten. Not cool. Food is simple and pricey, I didn’t eat. Tasting flights are available and reasonable. This seems to be more of a place to be seen. Style over substance.

Cool modern place with a few house taps, a couple of ciders and a number of wines. Extensive food menu also (only a couple of vegetarian options, which can be veganized). Service is extremely friendly, though they don’t seem very knowledgeable about beer. Prices are reasonable, especially for the drinks. Quality of the beers wasn’t very impressive, but hopefully that improves in time. Worth a stop.
