Currently the best location for bottled beer in the province, their selection is unparalleled. Friendly staff who tend to know their stuff, and beer is almost always well-handled. They’ve got a cooler in the back now for some of their storage.
Good place for micro imports and some belgian but the selection is limited. I got some flying fish as they were out of the Rogue ales I was looking for....got some canned witbier that was OK....if they expand their beer selection and get iyt in a cooler out of the light this COULD be haliax’s best bottle shop.
Lot of cool stuff. Belgium beers, Canadians beers (Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, BC). Some american beers. A few wine bottle and a few spirits bottles (vodka, gin, etc). The beer got a decent selection. What you find there, you don’t find it at the liquor store. I got a bunch of belgium ales for a pretty decent price. Staff was nice.
New location is pretty nice. Staff was friendly and indulged a back pack wearing student who probably didnt look like he was going to drop the coin he ended up spending here. Lots of interesting stuff for Halifax, some belgians and american micros. The highlight when I was there was a lot of Rogue, and Pacific Western Brewing stuff we don’t normally see. One cautionary note is that some of the less popular stuff may have been on the shelf for a while. Next Rogue order supposed to be even more brands. The trick seems to be to check back often.

Under constrution...resulting dust on the bottles was good for ambiance. Best selection of quality beers I’ve found in Halifax. I am now a Rogue fan thanks to this spot. Friendly staff.
New spot, by pete’s Frootique...getting nicer, had samples of Flying Dog. Some Unibroue, apparently they are getting some Stone around the New Year and some Dogfish head...Ill be checking in...
A pain in the ass to get to, but it was worth the trip. The staff was very friendly and attentive - within a minute or so of arriving, someone was there to ask if I needed some help, and was very knowledgable about the products. Not a huge selection, but they had a few interesting imports that aren’t available in Ontario. Sadly, the Rogue stock was pretty depleted when I visited, but at least they still had a few bottles of a couple of things I hadn’t tried yet. Thanks to OKBeer for recommending this place to me.

Now in their permanent location, lighting is much better than before and have gradually built up the best beer selection of the 4 private stores in Halifax, carrying almost 20 different Rogue beers, some Unibroue, Flying Dog and micros from BC, Alberta, Newfoundland, and here. Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Now located in downtown Halifax, in addition to having the best selection, also very convenient for visitors to the city.
