Splendid bar and restaurant. I arrived on a Friday at opening and settled in with a few beers and lunch. Everything was top notch. The tap selection features ProPig beers as well as favourites from VT, QC and Belgium. The food is delicious with plentiful portions. Interesting bottle list and Heady Topper in cans. Service was fine but probably could of done with another bartender during lunch service. Pleasant atmosphere and the bar is lovely. Also a great whisky and spirit selection. All said, it was a great experience.
Large place, packed on a Saturday night. The exact same house beers as the brewery, but the rest of the draft list was solid, even though they were out of my first choice. Draft prices decent. Customer service was solid despite the crowd. I prefer the brewery side but this is a nice place.
Popular, first rate bar/brewpub/restaurant in downtown Waterbury. Service was friendly, and the selection was superb, with interesting in-house brews, and the area’s best IPAs fresh on tap. The food leaned a little towards gourmet/New American, but with lower prices than your typical destination restaurant. It is #1 on RB’s Vermont charts and it deserves to be.
World class. The food is phenomenal, as is the beer selection. Lots of great Vermont beer. Great service, very professional and knowledgable. Pretty good prices considering the quality. Good ambiance, clean and stylish without being sterile or pretentious. If you are traveling through Waterbury and are hungry for a meal with good beer, this place is a must-visit.
Visited on August 19, 2014 in the evening, no line up and space at the bar, for now. Weird feeling going there because the last time I went to that address (23 S Main St) it was call The Alchemist. But somehow you do get a bit of the same sense of the former, including 30 minutes after my arrival, line ups and lots of people at the bar. The tap list is fairly solid, mostly Vermont stuff with two of their own, I tried one and it was nice but not more then that. The food is great, a lot of meat and the price is not that bad. I had the Chopped Pork BBQ sandwich, delicious and damn messy! Next time I’ll try the Hush Puppies. I’ll miss The Alchemist, but mostly for the their own beer, in all a good replacement!

Great bar. Great service. Friendly bartenders and pleasant hostesses. Beer list will guarantee Heady Topper, Hill Farms, Rock Art, now Prohibition house beers, Lawsons, lost nation and a stillwater or two. One of the best beer bars in the world in the corner of the pinnacle of the best trifecta of beer bars in the WORLD.
Visited on a Thursday early evening, the place was almost full. Impressive tap list, mostly of northeastern breweries. Half pours available. I didn’t browse the bottle menu much, but it seemed to have a couple good picks. Good service. Food was good but a bit expensive. Good times.
Stopped in on a Thursday for happy hour. Right on the main drag in Waterbury. Cool space, high ceilings, wood. Great staff, friendly, fast and knowledgeable. While we didn’t eat, the menu looked great and the chicken biscuits the gal next to us ordered made us jealous. Well manicured liquor menu with a list of interesting cocktails, including low alcohol cocktails which are an excellent idea. Solid tap list, locally focused with a few items not seen elsewhere. Everything is decently priced and all beers have the option of a full pour or half pour. Will definitely stop in again.
