My rating is for downstairs brewpub. Very nice cellar brew pub with local beers served directly from tanks and also some guest taps. There is also possibility to buy local beer for take away in 0,33 l glass bottles or 1 l PET bottles.
The ground floor restaurant looks very luxury and I didn’t want to go there.
Stopped here for lunch at the start of our trip into the Moravian region. Great location right on the central square. We sat in the restaurant because the pub wasn’t open. Atmosphere in the restaurant was great, good view of the square, old monastic architecture. Service was good. They had two beers on tap, would have liked to see more as they were quite good. The food was delicious, I had the wild mushroom soup and steak tossed with potatoes and wild mushrooms. Prices were way under reasonable, which is always an interesting way to lure me back :)
Very good restaurant on the main square of Jihlava. Excellent food (the mushroom risotto was superb) and super creamy beers which seem to be pushed by nitrogen... Anyway, the monastic decor, space between tables, professional service and view onto the square make for a great meal.
High quality restaurant and taphouse for the Radnicni brewery. Lots of space between the restaurant tables. The terrace sits raised above the town’s main square so it is not too difficult to find if you are cruising the Prague-Brno autobahn. Tasty, well made food. Tasty well-made beers. The Polotmavy is a classic.
I must thank Rate Beer and YULbier for finding this one for us. We went to Jihlava a year ago a month before this place opened but found ourselves closeby again this month and detoured. It’s brilliant; they are so enthusiastic about their beers and it shows in the quality. Thanks for the tip about the real beer action being in the cellar as we would have struggled to find it. The journey by trolley bus (A) from the main station is only 10 miniutes to the main square and it stopa right outside the brewpub.
I am in Jihlava for a conference and, suprise!, there’s a brewpub in the main square. Wonderful setting, see for yourself, and beer is fresh, tasty, perfumed and perfectly balanced (I had a IGNÁC pils and a ZIKMUND - polotmavý speciál, that I would define a dunkel lager) . They also have a changing selection of international craft beer on tap. The owner took us on a tour of the production rooms, and was really nice...don’t miss this place if you get near Jihlava.
