Like many liquor stores, especially in New Jersey, Beer ranks 3rd in the great scheme of things. The beer is stuck in the back left corner of the shop. they have a lot of BMC stacked high on the floor and bursting from the coolers. They had several shelves of bombers of local and regional labels. The Belgians and Germans were a bit lacking. The ambiance is 60’s era liquor store and I noticed a couple of the beers had sell-by issues. (one of the Unibroue’s was 2 years passed it’s sell-by date.) Also for all the space given to bombers, it would have been nice to see a pick six section.I guess this place is decent if you’re in the neighborhood but it’s not a destination place.
Third store stop of the day and this one did not disappoint. The sake selection was quite nice, but most were just a bit too high end for my budget so this time we didn’t leave with a bunch of sake (unlike the last two shops), but instead managed to find some nice beers that the last two didn’t have. Really good selection, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Worth a stop.
I stop in here often on my way through on Jersey 17. They always have a great selection of sixers, and have a nice area for bigger bottles. Pretty good prices ususally and people who are willing to help you if you need it. They usually get new releases which is a plus. Breweries like Mikkeler, Southern Tier, they even carry some FFF on certain occasions, and tehy sell Troegs too. These are just a few because they have a ton of imports as well and tend to get some magnums and Jeraboams of some things. Generally I find something here.
Maybe not the biggest section for beer but always a good selection. Whether you’re going in with a specific need or looking for something new, Ramsey is a good place to check out. Nice selection from the beer hot spots including a nice focus on Belgians and West Coast. Friendly staff.
They had a nice selection of beers but everything was in the back bunched together. The helpers were very eager to recommend some decent beers. I was disappointed because they did not have shopping carts and I picked out at least 2 cases of bombers plus some liquor and not one of the 4 employees offered to help me to the car. They had a nice selection of southern tier, Belgians and specialty beers but overall a little bit of waste since I went out the way to get there.
