Hidden away behind a drive through teller at a bank very close to Mad Fox Brewpub. Inside is a cozy, local wine shop that has probably a better beer selection than wine, tons of special cheeses, and lots of specialty items like Mexican gourmet chocolate, artisan pickles/olives/etc. Friendly staff. Pretty much everything can be bought as a single bottle, but for a decent markup. Still, found some beers here I’ve never seen before in my life like Mikkeller Rauchpils, Maui Brewing’s mayan stout, even a huge collection of Bruery stuff in the back including Smoking Wood, Fruet, Oude Tart. Side note, they also stock Blenheim red hot Ginger Beer, which is the bomb. Really a local treasure.
This place now has some limited parking in the back. Limited selection of higher quality bottles in the back left in a separate room. I found one gem and bought two bottles both times I went here. Bottles were a little expensive. Service was good both times, but was recommended a year and a half old hefeweizen one time I was here. Nice clean boutique. I would go back.
Nice place. Smallish shop. Wine and foodstuffs in the main room when you walk in, with a side room packed with beer. Found some Virginia rarities, local stuff and some other less common things I did not pick up. Gotta give high marks for service, because not only was the person working very helpful and friendly, but I showed up a few minutes before closing on a Monday, and he turned all the lights back on and encouraged me to take my time. Prices a little high but not terrible. Recommended stop.

Visited on 11/22/2015 after not having been back here for awhile. Not much has changed other than the addition of a growler filling station, decent selection with 9 taps. Bottle selection is about the same though nothing special jumped out at me like previous visits in the past. Prices are still a bit higher than other shops around the area. They still have the problem of old stock laying around, so make sure to check the dates before you buy. Almost bought a single of Oskar Blues IPA but put it back after discovering it was two months old. With Dominion’s selection and better prices up the street, it’s hard to recommend coming here if you only have time for one shop.
Old Review (1/31/2014): Nice little shop tucked away in Falls Church. Great selection of singles for a local shop, anything they have in 4 and 6 packs are generally available in singles. Prices are a bit higher than other shops but the more limited beers tend to hang around longer, so a good option if you missed out at other shops and must have it. Most of the beer has been moved to the back area where they used to do tastings, giving a bit more space to maneuver around other customers. They also recently got a beer cooler for those wanting refrigerated beer. Decent selection of cheeses and charcuterie, along with an assortment of snacks, chocolates, craft sodas, etc.. They have free beer tastings on Thursdays which is a nice if you’re looking for something new. Nice staff willing to help and answer questions, they’re always happy to make recommendations.
This is a moderately sized store located off Broad Street, and a few blocks from Mad Fox Brewing. There is a great selection of sixers and bombers representing all styles and a good many breweries nationwide - a seperate section for West Coast brew. Great service, very knowledgable. What I liked was the beer ratings (Rate beer and Beer Advocate) that are included with the price and other information.
They also have a sterling selection of cheese and dried meats - and of course, a large amount of that stuff fermented with grapes - wyne, I think it is called.
A nice, small beer/wine shop complete with a cheese/meat counter, featuring a fair variety of cheeses, including local farms. The beer selection is pretty good with a regional focus, and the staff is very helpful with suggestions or helping to find your wants. The store does cellar a few items for later release, so you may be surprised by what you see on the shelf. This is really close to Mad Fox and Dogwood Tavern, so treat yourself and stop in for some beer shopping. Chances are, you will find something. The prices are quite reasonable for the DC Metro area.
Beer, wine, & cheese galore. The selection appears to be impressive with rare labels and seasonal releases and imports. The staff is super knowledgable and friendly and won’t hesitate to pair either beer or wine with the perfect cheese. A fun store worth checking out.
