Finally got a chance to visit Brent’s place, and it was well worth the wait. Hard to find, but thanks to boboski’s awesome directions it was a breeze. Atmosphere is awesome, I would drink here every day if I lived close enough. Staff is super friendly. The girl who was there didn’t know a lot about craft beer but she was friendly and very willing to listen and learn. Prices are out of this world, not sure how Brent makes any money. Selection is as good as it gets, Brent goes out of his way to get new and exciting stuff for the bar. Also they have a package license so any beer can be taken to go, which is something we don’t see in Tampa. Best beer bar I have ever been to, hands down. This was the highlight of our 3 days there and worth the drive alone.
Just found this place over the weekend and is hands down the best place in Orlando to have a beer which unfortunatlely isn’t saying much because Orlando could be the worst beer drinking city in America. In fact, nowhere in downtown is worth going to. Downtown is a cesspool of misguided tattoo clad 20 year old Rogues. This place is in Winter Park and has a good atmosphere, great beer (10 taps) and prices that are more in line with places in other cities. Orlando is the ninth most expensive city in America and most places assume your a tourist and price gauge with 5 to 6 dollar ordinary pints. Best thing about this place is that you forget your are in Orlando.
By far, the friendliest bar for beer lovers in Central Florida. Lots of hard-to-find beers, always an excellent, rotating selection, including rauchbiers, sour reds, biere de gardes and saisons. Brent is extremely knowledgeable, and can turn you on to just what you like. A little hard to find, but totally worth it.

Hands down the best beer bar in the greater Orlando area. Brent always has new stuff to try and he goes out of his way to obtain rare and unique beers. You want unique? How about Jolly Pumpkin Luciernaga cask night? How about running Lagunitas Sonoma Farmhouse Hop Stoopid through the DFH Randall? How about the only bar in the area where you can sip Apis Póltorak Jadwiga? This is a bmust visit/b for beer lovers in Orlando/Winter Park. Brent is as friendly and knowledgeable as any bartender I’ve ever encountered. I am lucky enough to work right around the corner from this hidden gem!
I had heard of this place on here and decided to give it a try. I have since been back a bunch of times. It is a real chill and laid back place. Brent is very knowledgeable and always gets new stuff in. The selection is great and hard to find anywhere else in town. It is an awesome place to just hang out and drink some beer. I will be back quite often.
First visit was during a cask opening. Heard alot about this place, glad I visited. Brents knowledgable and courteous. Has nice selection of different brews, and gets new ones in everyday. Had some beers that you could only get on tap. Hopscotch’s rate sums it up.
Heard great reviews about this place. Was extremely disappointed. Place was real small in an attic almost. Selection was fairly large but nothing really impressive. Was able to get Rogue’s Black Brutal which was a decent find. The fact that the movie Tron was playing didn’t help.

Stopped by with boboski and my wife. Met a few other RB’ers and, of course, a RB’er owns the joint. Dark and dank... just the way a tap house should be. A pretty darn nice selection of beers. No food available. Plenty of parking. What a great place. Hard to find because there’s a Mexican restaurant sign out front instead a redlight redlight sign. Still, the parking lot is usually overflowing.
Stopped by while visiting family. Neat place in the heart of uppity winter park. Good selection and from what I understand they change it and update it whenever they can. Met brent, super nice guy and he even brought me a raison d’extra from his own stash when he found out I was visiting from nc. overall i really enjoyed this place.
We used to enjoy this place when it was Ballard & Corum, esp for live music. I’d love to live there (yes, live), the space is so cool. But the last few times we’ve been (over a year ago), the bartenders were pretentious and detached--not really desired qualities in a bartender. Last night we decided to check it out to see if it had changed and when we opened the door (on the ground level), we were blasted out by cigarette smoke! I’ve logged 1000s of bar hours at this point in my life, but that was gross.. Not sure what’s going on up there now, but open a window or get a air cleaner, please. We’d love to support the place as we love good beer, the location/setting is great and "Brent" sounds like a nice guy. We obviously must’ve never met him.
Had stopped by on a Sunday afternoon to find them closed, ugh! Made the trek again and was very happy I did. Great offering via the taps and an even larger selection via bottle. The server presented the bottle and actually handed it to me to read the label. That was a first in my years of enjoying beers across the country. Nice lil spot, will work into my rotation of places to hit from time to time to check out what’s new in the cooler.
