So I finally made it here. I used to see movies in this theatre as a kid; surprised how little has changed. The theatre is in downtown, which can make parking a challenge, particularly with all the construction these days. Its an old style theatre that has been somewhat renovated to feature table seating in the front. The back is old style seats. There is a main screen and at least one other, but our movie was playing in the main. The concession area is minimalist. You can still get popcorn, but the draw is the beer list, with about 10 drafts and two dozen bottles, with many craft selections in the mix, as well as the restaurant which features pizza and hoagies and the like, which can be eaten in the theatre. The theatre itself is pretty run down. It looks like other than putting in tables they have done little in the past 40 years, but still, its a fun way to spend an afternoon. Movies are dirt cheap. Six of us saw Zootopia for like $35.

Great old movie theatre that was my favorite as a kid. Since evolved into a main theatre and a smaller side auditorium. Great budget prices and pizza. Decent beers on draft for most part. Occasionally they’ve had problems with dirty draft lines. Having a bottle solves that. Heart of downtown La Crosse.
