Located out on a pier that sicks out into the bay... could hear the sea lions while in the restaurant. Good selection of Rogue brews, with some less common and special ones. The staff was knowledgeable about the beer that was served and made suggestions concerning the ones that I had not tasted yet... samples offered too. Food was quite good... an excellent experience overall.

The waiter was dealing with some shit the day we visited. We came for a couple of pints and decided against more than one.
The food kitchen was not up to code, and there were people doing drugs in the restroom. The entire layout of the place was messy and unkept. Dim-lit and kind of awkward.
You either love Rogue or you hate them. Due to them having their own variety of hops that produces a very peculiar sweetness in almost all of their beers. I for one do not enjoy these high gravity, low flavor concoctions. We will not be coming back.
On a very pleasant pier, a great walk along the water will lead you here from downtown. Open and airy, this drips typical Rogue marketing. Service was decent, but nothing great. Beer knowledge was there but not really well used. Tons of beers and some of their own. Tasters available and the exact same Rogue food menu which is just OK. Another Rogue joint, not bad if you havenít been.
I REALLY like the Astoria Public House! Other than Brewers On the Bay, this is my favorite Rogue location. Situated in on Pier 39. You drive accross on old single-car wide wooden plank pier to the pub and you are situated above and overlooking the Columbia River. This place is awesome! I definitely recommend this location and itís a MUST-VISIT when Iím in Astoria!
A GREAT place to drink some Rogue ales right on the water. With 30 of their own taps your choice is the most difficult thing here. The food was excellent and fairly reasonable but the beers were too expensive. They also had a great selection of take home beers but well, we know Rogue knows marketing. I like the fact they were dog friendly and had a nice outdoor area where you could hear the sea lions barking. I just wish they could charge a reasonable amount for their beers.
This is a great time. But when do you ever have a bad time at Rouge. They have all the brews the same atmosphere and great food. The being on the water makes this a must stop in the area. 2 other breweries to check out be sure to plan d a few hours in Astoria for all the places.
2010-06. Visited late on a quiet Monday afternoon last June, it was just a short drive down the road from our hotel (we happily splurged on the Cannery Pier Hotel). Tried a couple tasty half pints and chatted with another couple who were from the area. Service was fine, decided not to eat here though. Would return if in the area as the tap list was quite long and interesting and we had a good experience overall.
This is probably the funkiest place we have visited here in Oregon. You have to drive out a dock to get to the the place. Big airy space with lots of Rogue beer on tap, Rogue liquor for cocktails and Rogue beer to buy. Good happy hour and scenic locale, I liked it.
2010-06. First stop in Astoria for an afternoon beer after visiting the Goonies house up across the road. Pretty large space, a handful of locals in there when we were there. Friendly lady chatted up Mabel, her husband seemed non-plussed with us, lol. Staff was friendly, bartender/brewer came over to comment on my cloudy pint indicating that it was the end of the keg and wasnít normally that cloudy. Enjoyable visit. The drive across the pier is a bit nerve wracking - doesnít seem overly sturdy even though I am sure its fine. Nice view of the river out the window. Nice enough, but I enjoyed Fort George brewing more.
