I walk past this place so often that I’m ashamed that I haven’t gone in here until now. The beer selection is huge, and they have some great stuff. Not just Rogue ales, but all sorts of seemingly random stuff. Service was excellent and very friendly. I will definitely be back for more!
Walked here from the Ferry Building, which is not too far. Pretty sizable place, large taplist. Did not check on availability of flights. Several draft only specials, including some BA stuff. Helpful service. I ordered the Dead n Dead and just enjoyed it. Did not try the food.
Decent sized pub with a few tables outside, pretty low key atmosphere. Service was OK, perhaps a bit slower outside where we were sat. Big selection of own beer, plus a fair few guests. I had the 5 Hop Black IPA and the Straight Outta Newport IIPA, both of which were good. Also had the New Crusty Barley Wine, which was quite poor. Food was decent, we had the chilli and some wings. Prices OK. Worth a visit if in the area.
Miss unless you’re indifferent to the beer you drink. Go somewhere else, walk up the street to La Trappe, otherwise bad marketing and middling, piddling beer will replicate themselves in other places they don’t belong and aren’t welcome.
I stumbled downhill from the crowded Coit Tower to enjoy some Rogue Ales beers. Why is this place listed as a brewpub? I would call it a brewery tap room. As expected, good selection on tap and in bottles. I only had half an hour and ordered a flight (4 x 4oz $9) Nice service, but no information about ABV on the chalkboard. That should be easy to fix. Good beers and pop/rock music at conversation friendly level. Would like to spend some more time here. (Visited June 28th 2016)
I am an avid Rogue supporter and appreciate the expansive selection of ales and stouts. This tap house is a nice walk down from Knob Hill and pretty close the the wharf and other touristy things if that is on your agenda while in SFO. This place is far enough back from the wharf to it be flooded with tourists but also close enough for a walk to the Embarcadero. None of the beers here should surprise anyone as most are Rogue favorites than you can buy at most any Total Wine or Bevmo however saying that I still really enjoy hanging out in this spot.
