Parking is easy to find after 5pm, before that....forget about it! For beer drinkers you want to visit the second floor. Great selection of micros and imports and some off the wall choices. If you love seafood, this is the place to come. Excellent choices from their menu, and the second floor balcony is worth sitting outside on a summer night.
A seafood restaurant located in the heart of the Strip District. Outdoor seating overlooks Penn Ave. The food is pretty good - entrees are slightly pricey, but seafood salads or sandwiches are pretty reasonable and my lobster salad was very good. I don’t remember much of the beer list, honestly, which probably says something, but I did order a Church Brew Thunderhop IPA. This is not a beer destination, but has a few solid beer options to go along with your dinner.
i enjoy a lot of good food. my wife and son are in the food industry. in my mind the food that we had (the 8 of us) just yesterday was among the very best grill i have ever enjoyed. ny strip steak, calamari wiith peppers and onion in olive oil, the salads... big salads with several appropriate veggies at the right temperature and with very good dressings. grilled corn on the cob was simple...simply done right. a grilled seafood pizza i have not enjoyed in several years with enough seafood and types of seafood that for once in my life i took the uneaten half back to the hotel! and the type of marinara sauce with tiny bits of meat that 99% of restaurants just don’t bother to make anymore. oh yeah they have a lot of beer almost all of them i had already done before. the ambiance is grimy old town like where i grew up yet it is so close to the sterile and shiny clean downtown area that the -better thans- probably frequent often as some were apparant. prices not neccessarily cheap but the value is there. bring your appetite and you can play pool for free and enjoy really good brew! if sloppy joes in key west could do food like this place!!!
Went here with the wife and kid. You can sit outside on a cool porch that they built on to the roof, which is really perfect for a summer day. The beer selection is absolutely excellent, and the food was pretty good, but not as good as the beer. The service was pretty average to poor, though. It is worth going to; just be prepared to sit there and drink while the waitress fucks around with your order. Perhaps she was hammered, too.

7pm on a Wednesday evening. Easy parking. Many people but not crowded. Lots of taps and lots of room, upstairs and down. You can find a place where nobody will violate your personal space. Very nice collection of hard to find bottled beers up on the second floor. Sparkly downstairs bar. OK strip district hangout. When I first walked in I certainly got a humid east coat fishy salt sea olfactory blast. Did not get food this time but it looked good. I had a glass of Fireman’s Hook & Ladder. $5 per mug. Nice second floor deck that hangs out over Penn avenue.

An abundance of taps at the first floor bar. A Great selection of bottles upstairs as well as an outside deck. Good food, good portions and fair prices as per the locale. Great atmosphere for Steeler games or just a bite to eat when your on the strip.

Decent food, good beer. Not much of a seafood fan, but the shrimp seemed fine. Dissappointed that their only steak was a NY strip... doesn’t fool me one bit. Even for a semi-descent cut, the grade couldn’t have been above Select. But, the beer selection is pretty good and the upstairs is fun with pool tables and music.
In the heart of Pittsburgh’s Strip District where the club scene is (regular clubs, not strip clubs). A decent selection of beers with some definite surprises. Ambiance is a basic big bar which a patio and a front which opens up. Food isn’t that good and is overpriced. Decent enough place.
Well, this is the place that got me hooked on good beers. I was visiting my sister one thanksgiving and one of her husbands friends took us here after eating at primanti brothers. We walked upstairs into this nice wooded loft with coolers full of bottles. The bottle menu was overwhelming with stuff i have never even heard of at the time. I had a Saranac Pale Ale, while the other guy had a Chimay Bleu as well as a Piraat. I LOVED trying these beers, and i was hooked from here on out. The bartender used proper glassware. I do not know how it is today, but 2 years ago I really enjoyed this place.
