This San Diego County brewery also resides within an industrial park and is part of the "Beeramar" area. We found ample street and parking lot space late in the afternoon on a Friday and made our way past the grilled burger stand on the patio and up to the bar to order. There were a dozen beers on tap and another six sodas (not made here). We ordered a few 4-ounce pours and a sandwich to split and saddled up to one of the barrel tables, leaving the brewing equipment to our backs. The whole place was lively and open with a corn hole game ongoing near the back garage door. The beers were solid and the food even better.
Visited on a Tuesday. Another industrial park brewery, although this one is in a slightly nicer park than most. It looks small from the outside, but inside is a nice sized tasting room to the right and the brewery to the left. It’s much larger than I expected since I haven’t seen their beers around much. It was loud inside due to the brewery being in such close proximity to the tasting area. There were a couple TV’s with sporting events on which was nice. The service was very friendly and the beer was average. They did have a couple barrel aged beers on when I was there that made it a bit more exciting. Overall, a decent place but somewhat forgettable due to the abundance of riches in this area.
Large enough tasting room visited around 4pm on Friday 18/04/14 just a few minutes drive from Alesmith.
Modern facilty in an industrial unit with around a dozen taps. Fairly quiet when we visited, you could either sit at the bar or on some comfy sofas which is where my wife preferred.
Service was prompt and friendly and the beers were pretty good on the whole, largely averageing around 3.5 for me which is pretty decent when you are hitting on 7 or 8 samples. No food available on my visit, not sure whether a food cart comes later, but they did have free popcorn which was a nice touch.
I just stuck to tasters, get as many or as few as you like @ $1 or $2.
Solid taproom - highly recommended for any tickers roaming the area!
Stopped in on the way to AleSmith to pick up some beers. These guys started off pretty strong with a large system, a very nice tasting room, and some decent beers. I’ll be interested to see how they improve over the months/years but it wasn’t a bad start. The Belgian vanilla stout and the session IPA were quite good and the Emboozlement wasn’t bad either. Service was efficient. Some of the beers need work but over all they’re doing alright.
Industrial park exterior hides the classy joint inside. Good beers, if not exciting, nor seemingly growing in number. Nice feel, and helpful (may I say attractive) staff. Clean, typical, and nice. I like this place.
Visited on a Friday night at around five o’clock. Place was packed. Well over 100 people. Nine beers were on tap and two on cask at the time of visit. Most 4oz samples were $1. A couple were $2. Pints were $4 and $5. Tried all of their beers and I liked them. The service was great. They give you free popcorn to eat while you drink your beer. Glad I came. I will come back next time I’m in San Diego.
