An absolute classic of bavarian beer restaurants. Excellent selection of schneider beers + some friendly lagers like Tegernsee or Brauegirgl. Almost all waitresses are aged ladies who’ve been working there for 20-30 years or more - it’s so traditional, you know... This place is always packed by locals.
Part of the great Munich Beer Raid 2010. Wow what can I say other than I have found my new main stop in Munich. The beers well they speak for themselves. The place was packed but we got a place upstairs.. Top class.
A big place in the center of Munich. The atmosphere is true Bavarian, from the visitors to the staff. We waited to long to order our beer, but the quality of the beer made up for it. Try a very special Weizen-Eisbock and Aventinus. I recommend Hopfenweisse as well. I didn’t try the food, but it looked good, and the prices are fair. My favourite place in Munich.
This is a place in the middle of Munich but still with a high percentage of locals a customers. I like it because it looks like a traditional Bavarian restaurant, but not overdone. The Food is very tasty and there are specialities made with that beer. You can pic every sort of Schneider Weisse Beer and the prices are not too expensive for Munich standards. The only flaw ist, that’s always pretty crowded.

Everytime I’m in Munich this is my first choice if I’m thirsty and/or hungry! Greatly located between 3 beautiful hotspots in the old town: the Rathaus, the Viktualienmarkt and the Platzl. It has everything you want from a traditional bavarian Brauhaus, but a bit more from everything! The food is better, the atmosphere is cosier (especially upstairs), even the staff is friendlier and of course the beer is outstanding! You get every current brew from Schneider Weisse, also Tap X in bottle and the regular beers are all from tap of course (the Hopfenweisse from tap is unbeatable!). Been there the last time in August this year, was sitting in the sidewalk garden, eating a fantastic white wine sauce trout and drinking the Tap X Sommerweisse. Coincidentally there was playing a violin trio in the passage nearby (there are often musicians playing there in summer) - I was just feeling great! :-)
