I went in on a Friday at opening time, and sat at the bar. Service was great from there. Food came quickly and the beer was very nice; better than I expected with GB beers. Talked to Aaron, the brewer and he told me about some of their casks and events they do with homebrewers. The place far exceeded my expectations, and the beer was pretty solid, including the unique beers (bourbon barrel IPA and a porter, too) that were not usually on.
Micropub feel with a pretty large bar, lots of seating, patio, and dark wood. Mash Tun, Boil Kettle, Fermenters, and Bright Tanks are visible through glass. Solid beers on tap with the Pilsner, IPA, Stout and Brown Ale (in that order) shining through. The seasonals and barrel aged beers are outstanding but are not on tap continuously. The beers served on the handpull beer engine are very nice as well. Even though this is a Gordon Biersch establishment, the head brewer is allowed to have enough creativity to make it worth your while.
Tried a cask conditioned IPA; strong dark body but with a thin pallet and wondereful creamy head. complex hoppy start to finish. I liked the price and quality, did not try food. I was there at happy hour. If its like Rock Bottom in Atlanta (seems to be same franchise) they offer a membership and you get your own numbered glass that is 4 extra oz. for same price; good deal if you live in the area.
Nice place - if you can picture a "tropical ski lodge", then you get the idea. Excellent service from our bartenders, Steve and Jeremy. I had a margarita pizza, which was very good. The standard beers are OK, but be sure to hit the cask selections - better than you would expect from a GB-owned place. (This is owned by Gordon Biersch, and DO take the rewards card.)
Nice looking place, patio outside, bar was kinda small for being a brewery but looks like the restraunt is most of the business. Bartender talked to me and explained every beer to me. I asked about the misters and was told I should feel the fans blowing on me outside with no misters itís so bad.
Sadly we were headed home at the time, but stopped in for some chow and beer. Corporate chain setting, lots to look at here guys. Vast menu. Pizza decent canít remember what the wife had. Massive Nachos for starters. All beers given on sample tray.
We ate here twice during our trip: once on the way down to Disney and once on our way back. Our first visit was for dinner and the second was lunch. Nice, big spacious room with comfortable seating and a booth that easily fit the five of us. I was also impressed with the cleanliness of the place, including the silverware. Service was absolutely excellent on both visits. My kidsí soda glasses were refilled every time without asking. The beers were all solid. The food is very good with a diversity of options. Plenty of parking. Its several minutes off I-95, but worth the side trip if youíre heading that way.
