Large historic, multi roomed bar at the station. Good range of cask, not always particularly exciting, quantity over style. The keg selection is often better but can be pricey. Can get mentally busy on Saturday, the rest of the week it's usually OK. Overall it's worth a visit if on the way into (or out of) Sheffield. Not quite sure how this place has earnt a 94 average rating tbh

Nicely restored historic rooms, with a small brewery beyond the bar. Beer range was solid, with being particularly exciting, with my pale ale being served in good condition by an affable member of staff. As others have said, a good way to start/end a visit to Sheffield.

Visited about 19 times. Beautiful decor. Well-appointed, historical pub in a station. What’s not to like? Don’t go NYE when it shuts about quarter to midnight. Essential starting/finishing stop on any trawl of Sheffield. A few half decent beers on the bar. Never seen it busy except seething with Saturday evening traffic but most of my visits midweek mornings. You’ve got to, but limit yourself to a half and then explore the city.

Visited April 2017, post-Brexit Yorkshire tour of doom. - Unique experience: probably Sheffield’s longest bar with rows of pumps and handles doubled by elegant mirroring and brass shine. Takes a while to order, but several halfpints of modern local bitters and (A)PAs work well for me. Loads of football supporters drinking Bernard lagers. Large rooms, all packed. A few brew kettles and Weyermann malt sacks in the Tapped Brew area in the back to top it all off. Pity I had to leave so soon.

Need to give this place a second chance. For a station pub it is top notch. However I was slightly disappointed. From the outside it looked deserted but was absolutely rammed. Then found that the array of beers that day was’t that interesting. Ended up perched in a corner, feeling extremely hot so downed my pint and headed off for a cold drink.

Ideal location accessible from inside the station with a long front bar and back snug. Good mix of cask and keg with bernard lagers always available. Often beers from thornbridge and the on site brewery. Minimal food available. Lovely wood, brass and glass interior. Can become quite rammed and difficult to get served (especially if trains cancelled/ delayed!)

Accessible at the side of the Station and onto its first platform, this is a multi-roomed pub full off wooden wall panels, traditional furniture and a bar stacked with its own brews and guests in both cask and keg. There’s lots of bottle options too. The bar in the main room at the back faces the platform against its back wall, and despite its decent length it can get ultra busy during the evening peak hours for travelling so it can be awkward to order, especially if you are carrying or pulling a lot of luggage at the same time. Despite this it’s a great place to start or finish any beer trip to the city, or simply to wait for your train.

Nice tap, at the train station, and well worth a stop while waiting for a train. Some of there own beers on the 22 taps as well as a selection of other breweries. plenty of bottle on offer to. Really nice.

Very good place with a nice selection of ales from everywhere in Britain and something from Czech Rep as Matuska or Bernard which is quite unasual in U.K... Good the selection of the bottles from Founders to Marble .. Only a bit disappointing the ages I waited for getting my drink .. But the place was packed ..
