Visited on 23rd April 2017. A two level Spoons next to the Travelodge in the town centre. You can enter from either side. We stopped by on a Sunday morning and place was heaving with Sunday brunchers, decor is decent enough but needed some staff to clear up. Beer range was solid enough with the usual craft range plus some interesting local cask beers. Not a must visit but if you want a cheap pint then this is the venue!

Visited on Sunday 01/03/15. The most central of the 2 Spoons in Lancaster. Split level, fairly bright and airy for a Spoons with enough natural light to share between a couple! Usual Spoons decor and mix of largely low and some high seating. One collaboration beer on this visit plus half a dozen cask offerings, nowt too exciting, some local numbers in the mix. As Spoons go this one isn’t so bad, nice to have a bit of light for a change, that said if I had time for just 3 venues in Lancaster this wouldn’t be one of them!

The more relaxed and more traditional of the two outlets from this chain in Lancaster. During the daytime you will find quite a mix of people inside and plenty of families in the lower level area. The outside of this pub looks like a small cottage, so it has a deceptive appearance, but there is no shortage of seats or in its usual selection. There’s two rows of ale pumps, although only one of these rows has the rotating range, the other is for the regular brews. This is a popular place for food, and very handy if you are staying in the Travelodge next door.

One of the best places to sample some rate beer in the city. Both Wetherspoons in Lancaster are very similar when it comes to food and beer selection. Each has a great beer and cider selection about 10, most are uncommon to the rest of the city. But it looks like a new building. Bright lit with lots of space not as intimate as most other pubs.
