I visited late on a weekday night and was pleasantly surprised to find several other paying customers in attendence as well. Nicely rehabbed building, free parking with surveilence, lots of space, typical brewpub decor, but the high-finish copper-clad bar was nice. Barman Isaac was extrememly knowledgeable and friendly. They had a delicious cask-conditioned offering, and 8 taps of their own regulars, seasonals, and a special Fresh Hop Harvest festival offering. Nice-enough place, not necessarily a destination, but great people serving tasty, well-balanced beers.
I showed up the monday after their 5th anniversary, which meant special beers on tap. That was a good thing, ’cause the raspberry sour stout was to die for. Fairly small bar, plus a bunch of tables. They did not have flights, but sold any beer as a 4 oz taster for 2$ or 3$. Bartender knew his shit and was fun to talk to. Food was pretty solid as well. Well worth the visit.
Visited the afternoon of 7/25 while getting ready to head home from a St. Louis business trip. Wasn’t initially planning on stopping here until I saw it was a few miles straight shot from Wine and Cheese Place in Clayton, (where I stopped to pick up some beers I can’t get back home), and was right off I-64. Grabbed a stool at the bar, so I didn’t get a chance to check out much of the place. What I saw of the place was very nice! Casual atmosphere, but very classy looking. The waitress working was very friendly and attentive. Ordered the porter to start with, which was quite good but a little thin. I ordered the roasted turkey club for I think around $10. I figured that was a little steep for a club sandwich, but my company is picking up the tab so I wasn’t overly concerned. But I was quite happy when it arrived, as it was piled high with turkey, bacon, tomato, lettuce and swiss cheese on toasted Italian bread. There was a chipotle sauce on it that just set it off! One of the best turkey club sandwiches I have ever had! And it was served with a side of delicious gourmet chips. I was full about halfway through the sandwich, but could not stop eating it was so good! Finished the porter and ordered the Honey Weizen to compliment the sandwich. And compliment it it did! A very balanced and well made beer! In the end I was very happy I found this place and decided to stop in before the 5 hour road trip back home. My last St. Louis experience this trip. I will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Pretty decent beer and a fun young crowd, but really not one of the better breweries in town. Would probably be a fun place to frequent if you’re local but nothing too special.
Stopped by on a recent visit to St. Louis. Hockey game that night so there was a decent crowd. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Just had a light meal that was very nice. Enjoyed the Imperial Stout. Will return.
Finally stopped in after wanting to check this place out for a while. Nice location with parking in the back. Very friendly service and the bartender got me a water without me asking, unfortunately that seems to be a rarity at many places. Eight beers on tap and no guest taps when I was in. $10 for a sampler of 8 is an amazing deal. Worth a stop if you are in St. Louis.
isited here as a part of a 9-brewery weekend tour of the St. Louis beer scene. Place was pretty slow for a Friday night. They had around 8 beers on tap when we visited. Beers were all above average, but not great. Same with the brewery itself, an above average place, but nothing special. With the other breweries in town, this wouldn’t be one of my top places. This was the 6th best brewery in our 9-brewery weekend.
A large chalkboard with the day’s selections hangs behind the bar. A pleasant place to sit and talk beer with whoever happens to be next to you or filling the glasses. Might like the try the food next time. I like the fact that there always seem to be special casks or other events going on. Lots of good breweries and beers in town these days, so it pays to keep things interesting.
A cool little taproom with pretzels and pizza available from local delivery. Beer here is decent-not great but not bad (but from the newer reviews i hear its getting better). worth a visit if you have some time in STL.
