Excellent brewpub with very good eats. Wide drink selection (only Sly Fox beer & local wine) and creative food menu. Different crowd come in on different nights. Monday’s are 1/2 price wings (best I’ve ever had) & 4-6 every day is Happy Hour. Ask Corey (Asst. GM) any beer question and you’ll get a quality answer.

Since living in Phoenixville, this as been the most welcoming place, with the most appreciative-to-see-you people I have experienced. My view of the ambiance is admittedly a bit skewed therefore, because of personal relationships with the staff. But that goes to show you that you don’t have to go often to gain the favor of these folks. I recommend, an actually brag about the place as if it were my own. With this said, the Sly Fox makes ALL of their beers as close to the intended styles as any other brewpub I have visited. I don’t like them all, but only because I do not like all styles of beers. But from my tasting knowledge, each one is accuate, with the little Sly Fox twist. That’s what’s great about this place. This place is a beer bar, period, only a few TV’s in the corners for the sports guys. I recommend just sitting back, appreciating the brew in your hand, and starting a conversation with a stranger. It can get really loud at happy hour, so plan accordingly. Also, cigar smoking is allowed in the bar area, but every cigar smoker I have encountered there has been amazingly considerate of others, blowing upward, waiting to start until after you are done eating, etc., unlike cigarette smokers.
Ambiance is simple and no-frills; nothing too fancy to make you feel out of place, but certainly not a dirty or dingy interior. Nicely decorated. First impression is that it’s a charming, homespun sort of place. Service was nearly perfect on three occasions; one time it was a bit slow, but servers were all very nice. Selection is modest compared to some places, but that only makes it easier to find a beer or a dish that you love. The burgers there are absolute ambrosia. The Pughtown Porter, Royal Weiss, Panacea barleywine and Incubus abbey triple are all really nice. Couldn’t believe how cheap it was--four people fed very well and each having two or three beers, and if I recall correctly the total was like 70 bucks including the tip. Ever been to a place that made you almost dreamy from the sheer pleasure of eating fantastic food and drinking fantastic beer at the same time? Take the bus to Sly Fox, you don’t want to drive.
Went on a Sunday afternoon, so I was expecting great service(it was). Had a nice selection of brews on tap and bottles and cans for take out. The salad I ordered (Greek Chicken), was out of this world in taste and value. I will definitely come back again if I’m in the area, I may even make it a special trip like I did today.
absolutely love going to sly fox. great beer and a great staff here! the wings are outstanding, particularly the jerk seasoned wings and i’ve never had a bad menu item. brian orielly makes outstanding beers and there are always plenty to choose from on draft. corey is an outstanding bartender and knows his beer.
My first visit for the crowded goat races in 2013, so not utterly representative of a workaday encounter, but impressive nonetheless. Strip mall location, plenty of parking. Away from the events outside, the inside had a very crowded bar section and a seated area that was pretty empty. A little stripped of charm, a little sterile, as many brewpubs are, but the service was fantastic, even with the harried pace, and the diverse menu turned out some good food. Selection and quality are fantastic - couple dozen brews available as a norm, even apart from the special festivities. I will be back every now and then, they left a fantastic impression and there’s even a murmuring sense of community.
