This is probably one of the better brewpubs in the area. Their food is damn good. I like it... a lot. They have a good line up of beers. Their IPA is awesome. Their porter is up there as well. They have a new stout that was the brewers whim that was pretty damn good. The staff is always friendly. Sometimes not the most knowledgeable but that’s ok. I can talk to the brewmaster if need be, or make Jordo do it.

Decent restaurant...but very good brewpub. The décor is fine if not special...mostly like a regular dark wood restaurant...although with several rooms. The brewery is visible thru a window by the bar. What I liked best about this place was the friendly staff and friendly patrons (at least the night I visited). The beers were very good. The locals seem to favor this place not only for the good beers but there seems to be loyalty given the place has been around awhile...vs all the new breweries popping up in town. They also have a new second location that’s more of a production brewery and taproom. The locals told me they still like this original location better. Favorite beers included the Hell Diver Pale Ale and the Dagger Falls IPA. There were some very interesting seasonals and specials when I visited too...Fresh Hop Double Dagger at 9% and purported to be 180 IBU...the Dry Hopped Hell Diver Pale Ale, and the High Lakes Session IPA. Also noteworthy of the specials was the Barrel Aged 7 Devil’s Imperial Stout at 9.5% and 60 IBU. Sockeye should be a must stop on any Boise craftbeer tour. I hope if you visit you meet some of the great locals as I did.
Modern brewpub feel to this place, with a big patio that’s nicely set-up. Super cheap flights of all 12 beers available for $10. Beers themselves were pretty dull except for the couple of kettle sours they had. Very friendly service. Worth a stop when in town.
One of Boise’s breweries off the main track. Standard restaurant vibe, beer selection limited to six flagships and up to two seasonals/casks. Food is decent, place is usually fairly crowded. Patio, kids welcome, Wifi. Not my choice for best in Boise, but adequate.
All right. A restaurant in a small un-assuming strip mall. ‘check’ Wooden tables and chairs reminiscent of a Boll Weevil or 20 year old Beef O’ Brady’s. ’check’ I was able to grab a table not too far from the small bar situated at the end of the space. So the decent food I had and several of the nice house brew tap offerings really hit the spot. The IPA was spot on too. This has a nice feel to it even though it seems pretty far removed from a brewpub. I’ll go back for sure.
Yet another great brewpub in Boise-Just had their IPA, which is world-class in my book. If your in this area, do yourself a favor and just stop for that if your hard up for time. Atmosphere wasnt what i was expecting-its in an older well kept neighborhood however, lots of college kids watching the football games here. Cool place i will definitely come back here!
Made a quick lunchtime visit on a Saturday. Place was fairly empty. The bartender was friendly and anxious to talk beer. The food was average middle American fare, and the two ales we tried were solid specimens. The place has an unfortunate strip-mall, chain restaurant feel, but good beer is always worth a stop. Brewery #585.
Stopped at Sockeye along my way home from SLC to Olympia. I have been hearing this is the place. Well I must have stopped on the wrong day. The service was not to what others have said and I was disappointed. I liked the beers and the food was good also as all pub food is filling and tasty. I hope to hit this place again on a better note. They have plenty of parking and WiFi and kids are Ok also. The beers are tasty and they have plenty to choose from.
Very good beer. They had a nice sampler of all of there beers on tap. Food was good, with a pretty good selection. Service was good and friendly. I will definitely go back when I’m in town again. The Dagger IPA was great!
A nice place in Boise. Located just outside of downtown and easy to find. They had 7 beers on tap, and the food was really good. The service was great as well. Kinda like a restaurant more than a brewpub in terms of ambiance, but I liked this place.
This is a great place to eat. One of the best Ruebens in town. It had a nice selection of beer. Dagger falls and hopnoxios is good. It seemed a little dark inside, but there was a cloud cover. The service was pretty good. Never had to call for the server at all. This is a place I would recommend to anyone.
