A piece of West London tucked away in Helsinki. Quiet and friendly atmosphere. The beer lists may be more inventive elsewhere, this is a place for quiet pints and conversation - or a good book.

Located in the central part of town near the national museum. Lounge pub atmosphere. Good pizza and an ok selection of beer.

Visited on a Tuesday evening in August 2017. An ok selection but the best thing with this place was the cozy and relaxed atmosphere. Located not far from the city centre. I also liked all the pictures of the legendary Finnish President Urho Kekkonen.

Visited during RBESG ’17. A fairly big wooden pub a little out of the center. A little English themed I guess but seemingly specializing in pizza, which was fairly decent and did the job nicely for a bunch of hungry ratebeerians. Beer selection was nothing that interesting but still a couple of ticks to be had during lunch.

Cozy pub with lots of wood just a short distance from the train station. Long serving bar and restaurant tables. Good beer selection including a draft sahti. Pizza was very tasty (you can get Rudolph on one, if you want). Great service.

Many time visitor to Finland, as well as Helsinki, this visit due to RBESG. First ime at this place. My visit on Sunday July 23, 2017.

Dinner stop for this day. Got the tram up here, but farily easily walkable from the train station as well, since I did that on the way back. I was getting beered out this far into the trip, so had food and water, but did rate a few drinks from the group’s joint effort glasses passed around. Got a pizza with the 4 toppings of my choice, fairly steep at €17.50 but good food. Decent selection, some real ale on, nice service. They did mess up one food order, but gave moeny back on it and got to keep the food, solid.

Easy reached from the city center with a short tram ride. British from A-Z, green colored walls and lots of mirrors, doubt its gonna be more British on this side of the North Sea. No music played here, just the constant buzz from people enjoying themselves.3 cask beers, the one I had was in perfect condition, seemed like it was beer from Krombacher on tap was the dearest for the customers. I had a pizza, which was closer to a German flammkuchen than pizza, it was tasty enough for me. Nice and recommendable place.

Pleasant British-Isles-esque pub in the shadow of the National Museum. Music-free, which is as rare as it is brilliant. Specialises in UK beer with three cask pumps, St Urho’s is even Cask Marque accredited (I think). So there may be a bit of a ’coals to Newcastle’ element for my fellow British residents. Never mind that though, as there’s plenty to be found from Finland, Germany and Belgium as well. And they serve Finlandia Sahti. Be warned that it’s at the dearer end of the spectrum, even for Helsinki.

St. Urho’s Pub is located about 10/15 minutes walk north of the town centre. It really has the English-style pub/boozer down to a t. It even has a fullers pub sign on the outside. They offer a a decent range of draught beers including numerous cask ales and a fridge full of bottles. We didn’t stay long as it was rather busy in the evening and although they had a decent amount of taps I had actually tried most of the beers before. A decent pub for those who fancy some British beers, but not really for someone who already resides in the aforementioned country.

Classic pub in central Helsinki. Good selection of bottles draughtbeer including 3 different real-ales. Traditional pub atmosphere with good bartenders. Food is quite nice but on the expensive side. Worth a visit!
