This is a tiny shop in a Bruges style shopping mall, but it holds a treasure trove of beer. The owner is a prodigous beer collector who will discuss his business and his beer with customers. Lots of Struise, De Molen, Lambics and local beers. Four beers on tap.
Small bottle shop tucked away with a bunch of other shops off of Burg Square, not real easy to find. Service was pretty good about helping me figure out their selection. As far as bottle shops this place had the best selection of bottles I was looking for in Brugge. Pricing was a little high, but nothing crazy considering the selection. My biggest problem with this place is I found four or five bottles I wanted to buy, however as I was getting ready to check out my wife noticed a small sign near the register which says cash only, and what they really mean in Euros Only. I was really limited on time and tried to go to an ATM and get euros, but ran out of time. The moral of the story is if you don’t have euros just don’t waste your time here.
Quite small shop, but one can find there only good beers, without the regular lagers and all other regular stuff. There also several good draughts too. The service and the ambiance are great. You can open a nice beer there while selecting what to buy.
This is turning in to the best world style bottle shop in Brugge. Now stocking a great selection of world beers at great prices and 5 beers on tap, again from world beers. So if you are a beer geek and need non Belgian beers to try / buy, this is the place to come.
Visited the Struise Bruges Beershop on 4 II 2017, even twice. This is not an ordinary beer bottle shop. In the shop at the tourist Burg square of Bruges, you can buy some bottles or just have some brews from the drafts. At night, young shop tender Bart Van Poucke - parttime brewer at the Struise brewery - opened the shop especially for us beer enthusiasts. It was a great time with the savouring of some lovely stouts. The choice of bottles does not stop at the Struise beer collection. There is a decent international share of brews. At the background great oldschool nu metal music, a tiny bathroom right at the side, some very tight - yet cosy - standing places, surrounded by a full craft library, all this within a great beer enthusiast and connaisseur atmosphere.
Visited on 10th December 2016. Small shop tucked away just into an alley of a square in Bruges. Tiny bar with 3 beers on keg. 2 impy stouts plus another strong Belgian beer, we ploughed through all 3 whilst sitting at the only table in the place. A really good beer range with a whole shelving unit of Struise beers including Vintage blends, also had a great range of beer from around the world, picked up a Brewdog beer I hadn’t had too. Prices good, service friendly. Liked this place and definitely one not to miss.
Since Bart VanPoucke took over, the shop/bar has radically changed ways. The selection going way beyond the Struise products, with an ever-changing array of Be and exotic beers. Bart is always looking for new offerings, sometimes completely off the beaten paths. The place is of course still as tiny and cramped as before, but seen the cellar has similar capacity, more place might be available in the future. More projects for the future include the filling of growlers with counterpressure. Most irritating things will remain the ever-open door for draughts (non-beery) and the over-the-square paying toilet. But if you’re looking for really rare beers in Brugge, this IS the place. Prices can be hefty for some of the rarer brews, but compared to the touristy Brugge shops, reasonable. And Bart says: NO, WE DON’T HAVE BRUGSE ZOT. The rest of Brugge does. Special gift packs available.
