Visited October 2011 - can’t believe I haven’t rated it yet! One of my fave places in Belgium, as cozy as a bar with a bear hugging a beer glass as logo gets. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere, even to the beer novice tourists we were at the time of visit. Would love to visit again.
My favorite place to sit and enjoy the best of Belgium. We used to take the train from s’ Hertogenbosch and spend the weekend. And most certainly "YES", Daisy knows her stuff. I finally was able to get her to have her little ale academy class for me and a few buddies during my last visit before returning to the US. A most memorable experience! If you ever find yourself in Brugge near the Simon Stevins statue look closely for Kemelstraat. There you’ll find this little jewel tucked away.
So good, we visited twice in the same day. This place certainly lives up to its reputation. An impressive array of beers, all of which were in good knick. Plenty was superb and attentive, and it was to get their attention if you were looking to be served. Enough locals there so it didn’t feel too touristy. I didn’t want to leave and I want to go back there now!!
