Walked next door after checking out the bottle shop. Really nice space, a little small but it is what it is. Decent sized bar on the left, tables and some booths on the right. Coolers and bathrooms in the back. Atmosphere was pretty good. It was about half full when I got there and help steady through till I left. Service was pretty good. I didnít have to wait for a beer and he offered some tips for other places in the area. They donít offer food but you can bring your own in and eat it while you have a beer. Selection was solid. They had some really nice beers on draft but I noticed a bottle of Crooked Stave in the cooler I hadnít had yet so I went with that. Prices were pretty good. One or two seemed a little high but most were right on par with their competitors. Overall a nice bar that benefits from the bottle shop next door. I would definitely return if I was visiting the shop next door.
Love this place. Sort of like a mini papago as far as the selection but more of a living room-man cave feel. No food. Nice tap selection. Friendly service. If they donít have the bottle you want you can go next door and oick it out and they will chill it down for you, Interesting concept.
Nice, warm, somewhat hip place next to one of the best beer stores in Phoenix. Kinda of a small place with a couple couches, one high top, a couple tables and about 8 seats at the bar. Has about 15 or so tap handles with a couple coolers and a decent bottle selection. The tap selection is usually decent but sometimes they have some duds on tap. The prices are on the higher side in the Phoenix area, though the best deal is 4, four oz samplers for $8. it gives you a chance to sample some of their $12 pours.
Cool looking bare bones bar with 6 or so bar seats and then some tables and booths. As others have said they will make most beer geeks happy with their craft beer tap selection and they seem to go after kegs not likely found elsewhere. The draft Rogue Old Crusty was dynamite and I donít recall ever seeing that on tap anywhere I have been. I like that they have a much more diverse cooler stored selection than the attached store. I do not know if those can be purchased to go or have to be opened. I had a good experience and had some tasty craft beer to drink. I wouldnít mind making this a weekly or at least monthly stop after work. By the way the beer sampler selection is a great deal too and improving the "value" of this place for me.
If you want rare highend taps near there release date, this is your place. They let you bring in food and are attached to a great liquor store. Unfortunately both are seriously overpriced. I have paid 10-15$ for taps of rare beer that I could get for 1/3 the price at the other great arizona bars. Greg is awesome and really knows what he is doing but the price and trendy ambiance make it good not great
cool little place next to a great liquor store. some decent beers on tap, especially local AZ ones. dark lit and pretty small. there is a decent pizza place just down the row in the strip mall and its pretty tasty. if your in Tempe, check it out!
