Centrally located large brewpub with a smallish outside patio where you can watch the pedestrian world go by. Their own beers are OK, and they have two of their own very sweet but refreshing ciders. Pleasant place.
Part of a big Finnish pub chain with head brewery in Lahti. This pub is special as it has very small brewery on site, so along with 6 taps from the head brewery you have a chance to get one or two local brews.
Popular brewpub, easy to spot near the main entrance to the Kamppi shopping centre. Early on a Thursday evening the place was crowded, and it was difficult to find a table. Rather spacious divided into different levels and sections. To sum up my impression; attentive service, good bar food (warm tapas), satisfying beers (a sample of four, each 250ml), ok atmosphere and horrible music (visited 03.02.2011).
Located on Kamppi, close to the shopping mall, this was a pleasant brewpub, close to my hotel. Big corner pub in the same building as Hotel Presidenti. Modern Scandinavian interior, calm and relaxed athmosphere, with 16 beers on tap. I had a flight with 4 x 25 cl for 17 Euro. Very good service from the female bartender, wrote up notes with every beer and placed them with the corresponding beer. I had a hot tapas plate to the beer, very good and tasty. WiFi worked, a place to relax with some nice beers.
Visited end of July, 2011. Possibly to get their beers in 25 cl versions, this day they had 6 different brews from their own. Also tried their own whisky. Nice place, centrally located, good service. Also had a toast, which was huge.
Having Teerenpeli’s own beers is the biggest plus about this pub. Always at least 4 to chose from - check the pump clips, the blackboard isn’t always accurate. Occasional vinyl-wielding jazz DJ adds to the ambiance - John Coltrane and ruis beer are a wonderful combination. Buy your next beer before you finish your previous one, as you’ll want it to warm up a little.
Modern place on the edge of the Kamppi shopping complex. Goes for a chic and trendy ambience but ends up feeling a bit sterile. The Kaisaniemi location has a more pubby feel and, generally, the same beers (the Kaisaniemi branch actually had a special Easter beer that this one didn’t when we visited) so there’s not really any reason to visit this one unless you’re in the Kamppi area and short of time. The Sulami toasts, whilst hardly haute cuisine, provide decent filling pit stop sustenance.
Surprisingly stylish, but still a nice atmosphere. Friendly and helpful staff and a fairly decent selection of beers. Did also get the chance to try Finnish whisky. Quite central location so worth a visit if you’re in the area.
A fairly comfy and cosy place with friendly service and a fairly relaxing atmosphere (I visited in the afternoon) too. Teerenpeli’s own beers and ciders on tap. The beers are reasonable and this place is worth a visit.
