So there’s the new fancy beer place in my old love Zurich, located right next to ETH and the beers’n’more bottle shop (which is run by the same people). A great selection of beers on tap, and the taps are handled quite well - the staff is passionate and knows how to carefully pour beer. Unfortunately, not so many Swiss beers on tap (but there’s Erzbierschof for that). Some of the offerings can be quite pricy, but flights are fairly priced for Swiss standards. A good addition to the Zurich beer scene, and this place really does almost everything right from the beginning.
Place just recently (officially) opened in Zurich’s university district directly next to the Beers’n’more bottle shop which is owned and run by the same people. Interior used to be a classic Swiss restaurant but new tables have been put in the walls were repainted, bar has 20 taps + 1 handpump which probably makes it the second highest number in town? The feel of the place is very friendly, bar personnel is knowledgeable and approachable. They also serve coffee and lunch, I’m happy to see an all-day-beerbar in Zurich which is also open on Sundays (there seems to be limitations as to the times and days when no beer is served but this isn’t well communicated at this time)! So far, the taps have been stocked with exciting things which are hard or even impossible to find elsewhere but the turnover hasn’t been very fast. Prices go up to 13CHF for a 3.3dl pour but they offer flights of 4 when the bar isn’t overly busy. The food menu looks very appealing and the few things I have sampled were delicious. The prices are certainly upper level for a place close to university but overall ok for Zurich.

This place just opened a few days ago, so maybe it is a bit early for a concise review, but here we go.
Went there on a nice spring workday early evening. The interior is mostly wooden, with some actually old tables, some fake old tables, and there also a terrace to sit outside. Knowing the staff I stayed at the bar to chat a bit. I went for a flight of 4x 1.25dl (for 15 CHF) and could choose from one of the 20 taps. Selection was good, mostly similar in what the bottle shop Beers’n’more has to offer, just as a beer pub. This is not surprising as both venues are owned and operated by the same guy. Recommendations were good, but service was still a bit slow - The staff knows about that issue and I’m pretty sure this will get better. Food is supposed to be offered from mid April onwards. Prices are good for Zurich, with pours ranging from 25cl for heavier beers, 33cl for light dark beers and pale ale types and 50cl for lagers and Hefeweizen, landing with 7.50-9.50 CHF for every glass. All in all, this pub will definitely be a hot new player in the ever growing Zurich craft beer scene. It does almost everything right from the start, a state which even some of the longer standing bars haven’t accomplished. Some hiccups are still around, but given the place only opened 4 days ago, there’s nothing serious to complain.
