Part hardware store, part grocery store. Good selection of beer. Plenty of parking. Great selection of singles and good selection of four and six packs. Good prices and if you are near by you should go.
Lots of "stuff" in this store, but the beer selection (turn right after entering) is very good. Nothing totally out of the ordinary here, but a good selection of local, regional, and international. Lots of singles are available. Service is consistently present and knowledgeable. Good place to shop in Columbus.
Surprised I hadn’t rated this. These places are great. I knew them from visiting Toledo and then hunted it down when we moved to Columbus. As good a selection as you can find at a grocery store. This location has a several long isles and hundreds of bottles. They tend to keep the pricier good stuff behind the bar area (which doesn’t actually seem to pour anything or serve as a bar). Staff is usually knowledgeable and a few are big beer geeks. Always ask what’s new - I’ve had them pull 3floyds bottles out of thin air a few times. As a grocer it’s also pretty good - produce ok, meat pretty great, middle isle stuff lacking, good wine - then also a random walmart vibe going on everywhere else. High marks for the bottle shop part.
Stopped in on a Sunday a little before noon. Big parking lot, but it was still fairly full. The beer selection is in the front part of the store all the way to the right. They had a very large selection of imports and domestic craft. Severaal harder to find items were there, along with most of the usual suspects that just don’t make it to my neck of the woods. They had a few taps of craft beer available for growler fills. Their Mead and cider selection was decent, and their glassware section had a few I had been wanting. Very successful trip and a place I will be stopping at again.
Their selection does change from time to time and they get some hard to find stuff too. They are the main place for beer in Columbus. They recently expanded their selection too. But if you really love beer you will have to go to House of 1000 Beers Pittsburgh, PA.
Andersons has a large selection of beer and an even bigger wine list. Lots of cold beer, large displays of seasonals, and lots of imports. Not as many singles as I had hoped, but some. Attentive staff. This is worth the stop if you are in the area.
This store has about the best beer selection in the Columbus area. Good selection of craft brews from Ohio and beyond. The selection of import beers is about the best in the city. Good selection of Belgian, English, German, Scottish and Italian specialty beers. There is usually a selection of beer glass ware as well, including some unusual Belgian and American craft glass. A must visit for serious beer enthusiasts.
My go to place for the hard to find beer and overall slection. Extensive Belgium and American hand crafted brews. Mix and match 6 packs available and alot of bombers to choose from. While there you can grocery shop, get hardware supplies and shop for clothes. Excellent store!
