Located a stones throw from the central station, this is generally the place I go to for a quick beer when waiting for the train. The staff is sometimes great and sometimes horrible, both in manners and beer knowledge. Ambience is like any other Bishops Arms in Sweden.

We walked over here after Monks Cafe as our second stop in Sweden late on a Friday night. The whole trip was comical because womencanstail was muling a trade box for someone that was destined for manker, who then proceeded to unpack the box and get thrown out for bringing beer into the bar (I guess it’s more frowned upon than in the US). I made sure not to take out the bottle of Slayer wine (Reigh in Blood) from my backpack. We continued to Advocate hard and order a number of Mikkeller beers and a few Swedish beers that we hadn’t tried before. I also spent the money to get a 3 Fonteinen Vintage Gueuze. By the end of the night Danko was drunk enough to invite us over to drink beer from his cellar, pet his cat, pee in his yard, and pay for the cab fare. Good times all around.
The Bishops Arms location near central station downtown. Not as good ambiance wise or beer wise as the Folkungagatan location, but still very nice. Tap selection was pretty good- local craft beer focused. Maybe a few British casks to keep the UK pub theme going. Bottle list is extensive with many refrigerators full of oddball stuff. Strange Mikkeller stuff I’ve never heard of, even some Three Floyds and Alesmith bottles believe it or not. Very impressive. Staff was very friendly, provided recommendations. Food was pretty good- lots of typical Swedish dishes including venison meatballs.
Pretty cool bar, open late, with a huge draft selection and lots of bottles as well. Prices are high, but it’s Stockholm, so that’s pretty much standard. Friendly enough staff. Beers were decent. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy a beer. Pretty cool ambiance and decor. Lots of Churchill photos all over the place.
I love the BA places and this is one of my favorites. I tend to use it as a meeting place if I got friends visiting from out of town. The selection varies a bit, some evenings they have allot of interesting beers and some days it’s kinda boring. Never had any issues with the staff and actually had some interesting conversations with some of them.
