Great place in St. Louis. Stopped in for dinner on a week night so it was not too busy but there was a steady stream of customers. The bar is located just off to your right when you walk through the drapes that serve as a door. There is also seating on the second floor. I sat at the bar and was able to have dinner there as well. Great range of local, regional, national, and international beers to choose from. You can choose what size of beer you would like from 4 oz to 64 oz. They also have limited bottles available for take away sales. The food was also good. The bartender was very good and was explaining a lot about the different beers and styles to the group next to me who seemed to be a little bit bitter that Bud Light was not offered. If I am ever in St. Louis again, I will definitely come back here.

If this is what this place achieves while splitting its attention between wine and beer, then I am scared to think how good it could be if it focused only on beer.

First off, the beer range is world class. Tons of stuff from St. Louis on offer, along with other regional stuff, national US and even international (Fantome on tap, e.g.). There is also a broad bottle list, with lots of local one-offs alongside international staples. The menu is lean and solid, with a great selection of upscale bar snacks and more substantial fare as well. Everything, the beer (offered in as small as 4oz pours) and the food is incredibly well priced. The staff is friendly and efficient. The place itself is classic yet modern, immaculate yet homey.

Overall, this venue is world class, and I could see it becoming a notable destination among beer geeks.

Visited for dinner on a Tuesday. Cool older building, bar area is on the main level, with a long 20 seat bar, and a couple of tables and plenty of room to stand around. The restaurant is on the second level, and appears to be cozy up there. I had dinner at the bar. Close to 60 draft beers with a great selection and a handful of beers I was really excited to see. Fantome Magic Ghost in particular. I appreciated that the beers are served in 4 sizes including a 4 oz taster option. Service at the bar was super friendly and engaging, good vibe. Cool food menu focused on charcuterie. They also had several popcorn flavors available - I loved the Wasabi ginger. I really enjoyed this place, right up my alley.

88 = ★★★★ (best in area, a must for locals and visitors)

I only use the total score, not the component parts.

Classy place in Downtown St Louis. Decent food, a rich upscale (gastropub)? Friendly service. Beer list is decent though not the best I’ve seen. Worth stopping in in St Louis.

World class place, completely unexpected in St Louis. This bar has a solid, and I mean solid tap list with tons of locals, and some sought after stuff. They offer taster pours of everything for a very decent price. Food looks light and more snacky, but it is available. Wait staff was quite friendly, and so were the patrons. Top notch place.

A rldowntown restaurant with a great beer and wine list. I scored the food a 7 because my wife’s meal was great, but my pork belly was almost all fat, and my mustard greens were undercooked. Service was solid, and the ambiance was great for a nice night out. They also sell growlers of their draft beers for carry out. Worth a stop, even if my dinner was underwhelming.

Overview: Bridge Tap House & Wine Bar was our second night dinner destination in St. Louis. The downstairs area is mostly the bar and some limited seating; the majority of seats are in the open upstairs area. The upstairs portion was lit by a series of ugly lamps on the right (it’s a nice place, but not really my style, I guess); the tables were mostly four person tables with a few bigger ones mixed in.

Service was Nathan... sincerely the best server I’ve ever had at a beer related place. He was friendly, engaging, kind towards my son, honest about the food menu and beer selection and overall just seemed like a genuine guy. When I had nerdy beer related questions, he knew the answer, or asked someone else on staff. I think he gets my first "10" in service. The selection is truly impressive, especially that around 1/3 of the beer menu is Missouri beer. Without boring you on other selection details, check out their menu on their website. Food wise, I have mixed feelings: My wife’s cheese board was the envy of our table, but my Pad Thai was pretty ordinary. My son’s grilled cheese was delicious (made with smoked gouda) but since there isn’t a true kids menu here, his meal was ten dollars (and a regular kids meal portion, at that)- a grilled cheese with some chips: ten bucks. So, considering that two out of three meals were tasty, I move on to value... I’ve had similar quality cheese boards elsewhere for $12-14 dollars, and my wife’s was about $20. And: ten dollar grilled cheese. Also, they offer the following pour sizes: 4 oz.; 12 oz.; 20 oz.; 64 oz. I really wish they would ax that 64 oz. pour and get some half pints. The jump up in price from the 4 oz. to the 12 oz. is a bit much at times.

PROS: Superlative service; thoughtful and extensive selection, especially on MO beer. CONS: No kids menu or changing tables (again); inconsistent food quality; pretty murch everything is a bit on the pricey side. OVERALL: If I were wanting to check out lots of MO beer, I’d definitely come back. I want to like the food, but for the price you don’t want question marks. Parking in the area is pretty much all metered, but they do have credit card accessible meters very close by, which is a plus. About $2 for two hours of parking, I believe.

Unbeatable selection of top craft beers, particularly in the St. Louis region. A very cool place to hang out, with many interesting food options to pair with your beer.
