Old small pub. Mostly bottles from minor british brewerys. No brown ales at all! Quite a few regulars being wise on beer. The owner has just bought a place called Thorups Kælder nearby. I miss more micros and of course the one and only brown ale and kind service!
A great place - especially in the winters, when you can sit in the room next to the pub (avoiding the smokers). A good, varying bottle selection (Durham!) as well as 5-6 regular tabs and 5-6 ever-changing ones. Nice pub atmosphere, but quite a few ’regulars’, making it difficult to order sometimes.
It looks like a very old pub, and as often happens, it’s quite dark inside. The selection must be the best in town, with a handful of Real Ales on cask, their own lovely Wintercoat Cockney Imperial Stout (best beer here), Fur and Kongens on tap, one real cider and, impressive, a good number of bottles, mostly English self-imported ales that you won’t find elsewhere on the continent! We got also good advice on the beers, and directions for a splendid restaurant (the Mephisto). I’ll become a regular here...
wintercoat & fur on tap together with westmalle dubbel & prinzregent luitpold. A lot of British ales. The place itself is cosy and the atmosphere is calm. The waitor didnt however felt like providing any kind of service on a medium busy saturday in october!! However one of the better places in Aarhus to visit!
Nothing spectacular but a good selection and friendly service - what more can you ask for?

A nice cosy place with a decent atmosphere. Good to get a couple of the Aarhus Bryghus beers just after the brewery had opened. Otherwise lots of UK bottled beers but they are not really of much interest to a visiting Brit, so its a bit dificult to give a sensible score for Selection. An essential stop when in Aarhus though.

Small but good. Nice selection (9 Cask taps - 11 Draught taps). Guinness, WinterCoat Cockney Imperial Stout (made for this bar) and one cider. Large selection of bottles beers. Also a lot of different whiskeys.
One of the best beerplaces in Denmark.
Great attending customers willing to talk about what good beer is about. Outdoor serving in summer. If you are lucky really rare beers are on tap. Sometimes (easter and in Århus festuge) you can get really treats. Good whisky selection aswell.
Prices exstremely low considering its location in Aarhus center.
Rerated because of no smoking area cancelled. Way too smokey to be pleasent. I am considering only to come in summertime so I can sit outside!
