I stopped by this place twice while in Savannah. Both times the staff were extremely helpful in picking out beers and making recommendations. They also gave some helpful ideas on where else I should check out in the area. The selection is pretty diverse and they have a very nice selection of bottles in addition to their taps. I would say this is the best place to grab a beer in Savannah.
Had a tasty meal here. Service was a little slow, but we were sitting outside, so slightly more easily forgotten. Good beers on tap, I had a nice flight. But there was only 1 IPA on tap, and they had tapped out (probably because it was the only IPA). But the beers I did get were really good. Kids menu, good food for the grown-ups. Would return if I’m ever in Savannah again.
Came here for dinner on a rainy day in Savannah. Pretty close to a lot of the interesting sights in the city, so not a bad location, if perhaps just a touch on the outskirts. They have a small patio as well as plenty of seating inside.
Decor and feel seem sort of like they’re going for an early 20th century vibe, but not totally sure... The building itself is quite nice looking, though. Pretty open building and good height to it. Sat at one of the high tops near the long, elegant looking bar.
Beer list was pretty decent, though a lot of the offerings seemed sort of pedestrian in terms of being the typical things you could find at any bar in the coastal Southeast. That said, still some decent enough offerings, and good beers are available if nothing else.
Food was pretty decent and the service was good...not amazing. Savannah doesn’t seem to be much of a beer town, so this may certainly be one of your better options, but it’s not a standout in its own right.
Had lunch here (and sat outside) so I actually can’t say much about the interior ambiance. Draft list wasn’t spectacular, but it was one of the better I found in the area, with a good selection GA / regional beers. Food was pretty good as well. Basically, this is a nice bar with a solid draft list and solid food. Worth a stop if you are in the area.
A nice place with very good food and an impressive beer list. It’s opposite the visitor centre at the end of West Liberty, set back from the road with a small patio at the front. It’s a fairly large building dating from 1902 and has bare brick walls with some nice decorations, for example a bicycle hanging from the ceiling and a triptych centred around a La Chouffe gnome. Recommended.

Beautiful building...beautiful space...love the brick and wood. The outside is very attractive too...especially with the outdoor patio. I love the beer collection on the wall...and the draught columns are beautiful. If you are in Savannah...this is the place...and when I say that...well really...there is no second...that’s how far above the others in Savannah The Distillery is. Nonetheless...it isn’t perfect...just quite a bit above the competition in the area. The beer list is very good...especially with local beers, The Distillery is a must craftbeer visit when in Savannah...food’s good too.
stopped here while driving for a tad of a resite and lunch. friendly neckbeard barkeep offered a menu and water promptly, sould not serve for another halfhours. ac was nice a cold, prefect. the place was nice, clean, large open area, long bar. had the fried shrimp. food was served fast and it was good. finally got a Cisco Gose when he was able to serve beer. that was okay. beer selection on tap may have been good for the area, but i expected better stuuf i guess. Beers fro Ga, Pa, Vt, Nh. I ddi see some bottles of mexican cake hidden in the fridges. price for food, beer, and 18% tip was $28.
Of the many places we visited in town, this was certainly the best for quality beer. Good, varied tap selection and a hefty bottle list as backup. Staff was nice and efficient, even when the place got busy. Food was the only thing that disappointed. Our party ordered 4 different things and two were pretty bad. The food menu is pretty extensive and varied, so maybe it just comes down to knowing what things they do well and sticking to those. That aside, quality place and certainly a top-spot if you’re on a beer-only mission.
