Stopped for lunch here recently. Very impressed with everything. Had a stellar sandwich on special and tried several Hill Farmstead offerings on draft. Bartender was knowledgable and willing to offer samples. They offer half pours as well. Would highly recommend to anyone in the area.
Brand new spot in downtown Burlington, right next to the Church Street pedestrian shopping strip. 24 taps of excellent beer, from Vermont’s new Hill Farmstead to Stone and Southern Tier to Belgian and German style brews as well. Bottle list is good as well, with beers such as a couple of Cantillons and Mikkeller Brunch Weasel available. Food menu is still small with it being so new, but good burgers, comfort food, and cheese plates; almost everything is organic and from local farms in VT. Ambiance is great; they put in the time and money to make the place look good, but kept the intrigue of the floor of the old McDonald’s that it used to be. The best place in Burlington for good beer!
This may be the best tap room I’ve ever been to. I grew up outside of NYC, so am familiar with Ginger Man, Blind Tiger, etc. The selection here may not be as good as those establishments but the atmosphere in the basement/speakeasy bar makes up for it. On a cold, winter night the fireplace is like an oasis. Service is excellent and the servers are very friendly. This is the best beer bar in town.
Very comfortable restaurant and bar in the centre of town. There is a dining area and bar inside, plus another bar in the terrace area outside. Service was very attentive and our server seemed knowledgeable about the beers. Big tap selection with some quite eclectic (for me) stuff. Had a great IPA from Hill Farmstead and an excellent whiskey-barrel aged stout from Almanac. All beers are available in small (6 oz) pours. Food was fantastic, I had the half lobster to start and the mussels as a main course, my wife had the (best ever) onion rings to start and the burger as a main. The place is however not cheap. Absolutely great, a definite must-visit place in the area!

We visited The Farmhouse Tap & Grill on a Sunday evening for dinner and drinks. I was impressed how busy the place was even quite late on. They have 26 taps packed full of grade A malted beverages. Lots of fresh Hill Farmstead, Lawson’s, Lost Nation and some other rare offerings. (Including a tasty malt liquor!?). The food was really rather delicious and concentrated on local produce. I had some of best cheese I have ever had in the USA. We ended up spending all evening. A world class beer & eating venue for sure.
nice-looking place, very crowded when we went. Amazing tap list, mostly local, plus a very interesting bottle list that we didn’t even get to. Four from HF on tap. Our young server knew his beers and even suggested pairings. Great food too. One of the best places I’ve been to.
What an awesome place. Sat downstairs in the lounge. Great selection of beers from the region and beyond. Bar staff was fantastic. Snacky food that I had was awesome. Great atmosphere. Wish this was my local!
