A true drinker’s bar. An 8-page binder contains a just ridiculous selection of quality booze and beer. No TV’s and subdued music make for a pleasant place to chat. I was there on a Tuesday night which would contribute to the calm atmosphere but I doubt it fills with drunken college kids on the weekends. I didn’t feel that it was too smoky. The beer prices are reasonable, $4 for Bell’s stuff, they had a $3.50 Cherry Stout special, and Founder’s Kentucky Breakfast was only going for $8.
Tiny little place. And DARK! Some of the lowest lighting I’ve run into in years. It leads to an intimate, relaxing vibe. Some tables around, smallish bar. Bar was crowded early on a Friday evening, but I had no trouble finding a seat. Great beer list, better than its counterpart Sugar Maple closer into town. Had a flight, flat price of $15 for 4x6oz. Kinda steep but it was a deal tonight because I got 2 of the 4 pours for what was regularly priced at $12 for 10oz. Bartender was helpful and friendly. Nice place, though I might be sure to stop by during daylight hours from now on!
Just got the barfly award. Goes to show how much I’m a brewpub whore. 721 ratings and this is only my 50th bar?
Place with a great vibe, small place, hard to notice form the street. Focus is belgian beers, i haven’t been in there in a awhile because while its a great draft list it stays very much in the standard realm of beers.
Love the atmosphere here, very relaxing, great place to ENJOY a beer. Knowledgeable bartender. Decent number of taps, heavy on the Belgian side of things. Lots of bottles but nothing you cant buy for much less at a good liquor store though. All in all a must-stop for beer lovers.
A hideaway in Bay View. Small place but typically a good crowd. Quite a variety and a nice tap selection as well. Church pew seating and modern art inside a historic building make for conversation and a hip atmosphere.
Great joint. You might miss it from the street. You might think its closed. You owe it to yourself to find this place. Solid tap selection and great prices. Dark but not smelly. Good selection of spirits to boot.
This place is hard to locate. I’ve been a handful of times, and I still accidentally drive by it every once in a while. I enjoy both of Bruno’s bars quite a bit. it’s very dimly lit, which is nice ambiance if you’re there as a couple. The tap list is frequently rotating and includes many Belgians and other import stuff. Occasionally they will get a rare American craft release (Zombie Dust one time). The servers have always been very pleasant and know their stuff. Prices are on par with other places with this caliber of tap list. Definitely worth a visit.
