Visited on a damp afternoon in August 2015. The pub is currently being refurbished with the community shop being replaced with a new dining area. It still looked decent with plenty of tables and room. 3 Donnington ales on, the One Fifty wasn’t great but the Gold was good. Prices are decent. The food looked good but didn’t try it. Don’t see Donnington Ales too often so with 3 on and you happen to be passing it’s worth a lunch stop.

Located 3 or 4 minutes walk around the corner from the GWR (preserved railway and very much Diesel as well as Steam Fin !). The Pheasant is a medium to large village local with 2 distinct rooms centred around the bar and a further area that tends to be used for diners. Usually 2 casks from Stanway, bitter and gold, never had a problem with the conditioning on my visits. Not a place to go out of your way for but if visiting the railway then definately worth a quick visit.

We were Morris dancing here on Saturday 16th June 2012 though were familiar with the pub as we pass it frequently traveling west to my brothers or Loz’s family as it is on the route to Tewksbury, it is also on the route from Broadway to Cheltenham. This pub acts as the tap for the nearby Stanway brewery and I understand that there is usually two of their beers on offer, Cotteswold Gold and Stanney bitter were the ones available today. Large pub, seems popular for food, we had the £3.50 English breakfast the following day which was good for the money. Friendly pub, nicely located for the local GWR steam railway at Toddington (next door) Beers were good and at just £2.50 a pint exceptional value.
