Located in a small storefront in the Little Five section of Atlanta, this beer bar is surprisingly large. There is a sizable bar near the entrance, and plenty of seating in the back. There is a musty, cozy ambiance. While I didn’t have any food while I was there, the menu looked amazing. The beer list is astoundingly large. The bottle list is organized by types of beer so that you can easily find what you want. The draught list is a large collection of excellent beers, and at a reasonable price. The servers and bartenders are friendly, quick, and very knowledgeable. The only downside was the atmosphere. It was not very busy, and there seemed to be nothing happening, but that is probably because I went on a Wednesday.
Cool hipster or hippie surroundings. Not far from Wrecking Bar. Long and narrow bar. More room in the back. Great tap list and impressive bottle list. Selection makes this one of the top bars in the South. Top choice in Atlanta probably.
I don't understand the hype around this place. Have visited a few times, and perhaps I "did it wrong" but it seemed like an okay beer bar with decent offerings and a staff that lacks depth of knowledge or any genuine interest in the guest experience.
Pretty nice beer bar at little five points atlanta. Good and fast service. They were serving Black Friday Prairie bomb! flight. But they are not serving other flights, so you cant make your own flight from nice tap selection. Thats huge disappointment.
Visited a number of years ago and never got around to rating it. Came here again in the middle of August 2017, early Thursday afternoon, prior to the Shelton Festival 2017. This place is wonderful. There’s definitely some places that are highly rated that I’ve gone to and found disappointing. Not here though. Only knock I can really give here is that they don’t do flights or smaller pours. That could perhaps have been due to the Shelton tap takeover, but I think that’s actually just the way of things, which means go with friends and share pours, or resign yourself to likely not trying everything you’d like. But there will be a plethora of options. Service is pretty good, especially considering the packed house on a Thursday afternoon. Bottle list is solid, and there may be a bargain or two among the list, but expect to pay a premium for premium bottles. With Wrecking Bar (one of the better Atlanta breweries) just two blocks away, this is a must stop on an Atlanta trip.
You could spend hours flicking through the beer menu in this place, extensive is perhaps an understatement. There’s a lot of vintage and discontinued bottled brews in the list too. If you’re just here for something from tap you’re pretty much spoiled for choice again, with the long row of taps against the back wall of the long bar that runs from the front to the back of the thin but deep room in this shop unit conversion.
Visited in February 2017. Neighbourghood is very strange and lots of hipsters roaming around. Great tap list (BA Old Ruffian finally, thanks for this one!). Food was great and portions very big. Porn Dog was HUGE. Bottle list was one of the best I have ever seen but unfortunately didn’t have time for that. Great place.
Visited here in mid-February ’17 while in town visiting my son. Can’t add much more than the other 108 reviews have said. Great beer list, the cellar beers look tremendous - not in my budget range though!. Dark, homey atmosphere. The thing thing that really stood out for me was the outstanding service, the waiter was very friendly, humorous and not pretentious like some can be at beer geek kind of places. Glad I finally visited this place.
