My first visit to the Ravenous Pig was during the RBWG 2010... what a cool place!
This is a fancy place. Dim lighting, white tablecloths, dressed up servers and hostesses, the works. When you walk in there is a nice bar with many tables, and a separate room for private parties to the right (which we used). Very nice.
It could be because we were a special party, but our service was impeccable. There were waiters left and right catering to our every need, order, demand, water refill, or whatever we wanted. Really good.
The selection of beers is pretty decent considering it’s just a restaurant. Though they have few taps, they are generally good beers, and they do have several bottles to choose from as well. My first beer there was, in fact, from a bottle.
The food is AWESOME. I’m from Illinois, so I was instructed to get the shrimp and grits, and they were amazing. Also, you can’t leave this place without getting the fries tossed in truffle oil. SO GOOD. Wow.
The value is pretty good for what you get, I guess, but you have to know going into the meal that it’s a nice place and you’re not going to get out with less than a $15 tab for food or more, especially with brews to boot.
Overall, if you’re in Orlando and have a few bucks to burn and want a great meal with some good brews, you better stop here. Awesome place!
Some of the best food out there. The staff was great, and attentive, and kept up with our group like champs. Beer selection could be bigger, but what they had was top quality, and that counts for quite a bit. Would love to visit again and try more dishes!!
The Best Bar & Restaurant in Central Florida and maybe even the state. Beer selection is limited to less than 10 taps and usually 5-10 larger bottles, but what they have is always craft. Great selection of spirits for anyone who is curious. The staff knows their stuff inside and out and are willing to go above and beyond to make your experience memorable. Last visit had Larry tending bar for a couples type crowd. Paired a Terrapin Darkside draft with an amazing Kobe beef loin complimented with truffled mac and cheese. Amazing experience that could only be topped by a future visit to "The Pig". Do not miss this place.... you will regret it.
Amazing, consistently unique food. I would love to see more unique bottled "cellar" type beers here, but the selections never disappoint. The roasts on the first Saturday of every month are one of the best things going.
Absolutely my favorite restaurant in town. They may not always have a huge selection of beer, but what they do have is alway craft and pretty solid. Great selection of wine and liquor as well. Great cocktails! The food is wonderful. With an ever-changing menu of interesting starters and entrees, I never get tired of going for lunch or dinner. The staff is wonderful and the ambiance is classy but laid back. Worth every penny.
CCB beers dinner with world class chefs.
A unique decor give the place a nice cachet.
Great and friendly staff, the overall atmosphere is laid back, yet professional and upscale.
Beer selection is rather thin, but sports some good local beers and other offerings that you might not usually see on tap.
It’s just great to see a nice place being so creative in their food menu and doing their best to use local ingredients.
The food is very good, but not mind-blowing. The selection of beer is decent, but certainly not huge. They usually have something from Cigar City on tap or available in bottles, which is a big PLUS. The atmosphere is a bit noisy and crowded, especially on a Saturday night. It’s a cool place. There is street parking available. Outdoor dining as well... I think. I look forward to visiting this place a few more times to see what the level of consistency is regarding their food. I’ve had terrific items and very mediocre items from their menu. Very creative nonetheless.
Fantastic food. Beer selection is far from impressive, but the beers they have are great. The service was good; however, when I asked if Southampton was the upscale offering from Pabst they said no. I know I’m a bit of jerk for asking just to test, but if you are serving it and calling yourself a beer joint then you should know. So here’s the thing, if I was rating this as a restaurant then I’d give it higher marks. but for beer lovers this place is not a must visit yet.
First stop of my beery weekend in Orlando/Tampa and it didn’t disappoint. Went w/ GodofThunder, his wife Tiffany and her friend, beerlando, Cheeseman, solan, and Miketd. We decided to order either 2 appetizers or one main course and split everything. Everything we had was top notch w/ the kobe beef capricco, meat and cheese platter, octopus, and scallops being my favorites of the night. The pretzels and biscuits kicked major ass too. Pretty good beer selection of about 8 or 10 taps and others in bottles. Had Southampton Double White which was nice. I’ll be stopping in here everytime I’m in Orlando.
The best restaurant in town! Larry keeps a steady flow of great microbrews on draft! The bottle list all though small is excellent as well, featuring St. Somewhere and Ommegang. The food is amazing! i haven’t had anything i didn’t like or wouldn’t order again. If you’re an adventurous eater this is the spot. venison schnitzel, house made head cheese, veal sweetbreads!!!!! and the pub menu is solid as well.

This is quickly becoming my favorite restaurant (worth the hour drive from Tampa). Wife has had a lamb-burger and lamb/meatball pasta. Very creative menu items that they pull off very well. Beers are used in many of the dishes. Small number of beers to choose from but types spaced out well. Walked in and sat at bar last time. Reservations good idea for table service.
