Sweden is closed on Sundays, but fortunately this was one of the places that stays open. Very full on a Sunday night, but still very comfortable. Staff was very efficient and friendly despite the crowd. Very solid and changing tap list. Tasty food, especially the burgers. Worth going out of your way for.
Visited twice over my weekend in Goteborg, firstly on Friday 21/03/14 around 4pm and again after Sunday lunch around 3pm on 23/03/14.
On Friday the place really began to full out with an after work crowd but the bar maintained a good service level, on Sunday post lunch it was quieter but still doing a good trade.
Lots of wood in here, walls, floors, some breweriana. Bar as you enter - 32 taps, quite a few (7/8 ?) had changed in the 48 hours between my visits. The taps were a good mix of Swedish micros and International numbers from the likes of Brewdog and Mikkeller, although the prices were on the high side for the latter compared to the UK!
Service was good and knowledgeable.
There were a couple of plug sockets dotted about to charge mobile phones with which proved useful.
Overall a solid bar with a great tap line up and good atmosphere.
Quite enjoyably long roomed pub with a decent range of, mostly Swedish, beers on tap. Because of the coming redecoration, the selection of bottled beers were not at its best. In fact, all the remaining bottles would soon be on sale. Anyway, I got what I wanted from the taps and was pleased with the friendly service. Looking forward to visit the new Rover in due course of time (visited, 03.08.2010).
A very good watering hole, I was set back into an old Czech hospoda when entering. Long room divided into 2 different seating areas. Very good service, even got served beer at the table. Good selection of Swedish micros, also good bottled selection. Friendly and welcoming staff, will def visit again.
A rather small bar on the length where a few tables welcome people who want to eat. Nice little touches in the decor, for instance, you get to rest your feet on a railway track at the bar. Indeed the best spot in town. Very knowledgeable and beer-geeks friendly staff and owners, quick and efficient as well. As good as the service gets really. And the food I had was beyond your average pub grub. Apparently, the tap selection rotates very frequently though I could not acknowledge. The 20 or so taps include imports, with an english focus as well as stuff from the best micros which is fresh. Possibly the best US bottled beer selection in Gothenburg as well. Interesting bottle selection with stuff I had not seen anywhere else in Sweden, including Akkurat.
I’ve been going since end of 2005, update my place rating every now and then. I am local to the area/Gothenburg. 32 taps after the remodeling. Staff is usually friendly and knowledgable, but have also changed over the years. Used to be beer geek only, now trending to hipster and dinner guests. A place I often returned to for a beer, but I frequent less often these days. In recent years I feel it has lost some of what made me go as often, so I tend to vary where I go more now. Lots of whisky available as well. Can get (very) crowded, but the place is good still. Used to eat here a lot, but with menu changes if I do eat tend to be a burger, which is more than decent, but the older menu selection suited me better. If you want to eat I’d recommend to reserve a table since it is popular and waiting on site without a reservation tends to be 1h+ until you get seated. Go to "Järntorget" by tram or bus, then walk down "Andra Lång" and it will be located on your left side.
Visited Marts 2017. Traditionel pub, green coulour and a huge bar just inside the door. 3 connected rooms, makes it rather spacy, if not to busy. Not that many seatings. One of the rooms seemed mainly for eating. Very friendly and helpfull staff, great selection of beers and they were served in good condition. Besides the taps, also a great collection of bottles / cans. For sure a visit / revisit worth.

A very nice pub, rather small which gives it intimacy. Visitors often are rather quiet and know about beers. Maybe this place is at its best during the weeks, when you really can enjoy your beer in a relaxing environment. The staff is very competent. Has a good variety on the taps, and a belgian profile on the bottles. Beer is an ingredience in the food as well.
A place I very much can recommend when you visit Göteborg.
