Visited on 5th October 2016. Large single roomed pub a couple of minutes off Marylebone Rd. It was busy at 6pm when I visited with every table taken and quite a few customers standing, decor is decent and the pub has a few food offers. 4 cask beers and a small selection of keg beers plus a few cans and bottles. Beer was well looked after, service Ok. Prices a little steep. Nice local boozer but not really a rating destination

Nice pub, quite simple, recently redone. Not very big selection, few kegs and casks.

This pub opened as the Royal Oak on 2 July 2014. It was formerly known as the Temperance and one of the original signs bearing the old name has been left hanging outside. The friendly barmaid told me that the two original rooms inside have been knocked through and the beer range has been extended to four casks and ten keg taps. The choice wasn’t bad - not quite upto Craft Beer Co. standards but it was encouraging to see that there were fewer mass market beers and lagers than you’d find in most pubs in London. I liked it. Old pub refitted in a modern style with minimal wooden tables, but suffers from odd opening times and when I visited had run out of beer on all three of its cask taps. Have never experienced that in my life and indicates to me a slightly haphazard management. In the end it was a choice between Hoegaarden or Guinness on keg.
