In a dingy strip mall, this place doesn’t look much better. Looks are deceiving in this case. The guys who helped me knew their way around beer and more than happy to help. They will single any pack, which is nice, but the prices are a bit high. One of the better places to go in MI with a good selection of bombers.
This place has really improved their focus on craft beer and the staff is great and extremely helpful. A nicely laid out store with one of the better selections in Ann Arbor. Also added a singles area which is nice for the tickers. Overall one of the better places to hit in Ann Arbor if you are looking for bottles/cans.
A wonderful little store with narrow aisles and jam-packed with an excellent selection of beers. It looked like there were many wines in the other part of the store, but I didn’t spend any time there. Many local beers, and as an out-of-towner, I was interested in selecting some of the best from the region. I wasn’t disappointed. The staff was very helpful, helping me to locate the beers on my shopping list, and opening a just-received case before it even went on the shelf when I asked for the Founder’s Backwoods Bastard. They split some singles off for me, and boxed it all up. The also told me when to return for the few beers from my list that were not in season, and pointed me to the best local pub which also had an excellent selection on tap and in bottles. A great place that I’ll return to when I’m in town again.
This is the place to go in the Ann Arbor area. The owners are extremely knowledgeable, and will order something they don’t have if you tell them about it.
Big time stock on Michigan beers, and a nice collection of Belgians. Just an awesome place, especially if you’re also into wine. Great selection there, and glassware for both.
Love this place.the owners are helpful and know their beer. excellent place for beer

When I visited: March 2012.
What I bought: J.W. Lees Harvest Ale (Port Cask), Nøgne Ø Dark Horizon, Jolly Pumpkin Oro De Calabaza, Collababeire Special Holiday Ale, and La Roja.
What I liked: Ridiculous variety with beers from Bear Republic, Arcadia, Bell’s, Avery, Rogue, Sierra Nevada, Stone, Dogfish Head, Mikkeller, Goose Island, and Unibroue, among many others. Outstanding service from the owner, who opened early for us, pointed me toward the new arrivals, helped me select the best JP beers, and boxed my purchases to prevent hassles at the border.
What I disliked: Prices are on the steep side and the selection is smaller than the top tier stores in the Great Lakes region. But this is an exceptionally good bottle shop.
Would I go back? Absolutely.
Overall Rating: 88
Superb selection of craft beers including all local brews. The staff is jovial and knowledgeable and the prices are reasonable. When looking for a specific selection the proprietor offered to order a case from the distributor and set it aside.

I visited here once more than a year ago and wasn’t overly impressed, but I went back because of a mailer coupon for $2 off a mixed sixer. The store has expanded, and with more room there’s more organization. As mentioned, they have a nice-sized selection of singles now, and the beer all looks fresh and clean. Prices are very competitive as well, with most of the "standard" (non-imperial, non-import) singles being a flat $2.00. A nice variety of glassware was available too, and I picked up the Duvel tulip I’ve heard so much about. The staff member who was there seemed like he certainly had some beer experience as he helped another customer with IIPA suggestions, comparing hop profiles. A very nice place in Ann Arbor with what seems like a good selection.
Love this place. Best place to get a mix and match 6 pack in Ann Arbor! Owners are really knowledgeable and always quick to recommend a great beer. They also have a great selection of wine and non alcoholic beverages such as craft root beer. Hope to be back there tomorrow for a great IPA.
