Small little place, sharing an older building with a toy store next door and apartments upstairs. Selection is not vast, but they have a very solid amount of Belgian and eclectic European beers (have never seen a lobster flavored beer anywhere except here). Also a few local micros scattered in. If you’re in the area and looking for some beers you’re not likely to find elsewhere, stop by. They also have sake, if you’re so inclined, along with a decent wine selection.
Two room store, wine right when you walk in and the beer is located in the other room just to the right. The wall on the right is full of singles and the far wall has plenty of bombers. The center has some additional bombers but is mostly packaged beers. There is a cooler that has packaged beer with some limited singles and bombers. Very friendly and helpful staff. Good place and definitely worth a visit.
Stopped here on Memorial Day weekend ’17 to pick up a few beers for my weekend visit and to bring some beer to a lake outing. Great selection, friendly, knowledgeable staff. Nice location if you are either in St.Paul or Minneapolis. If I was staying longer, would have picked up a lot more, all of the Minnesota and Midwest breweries represented well. Plenty of singles, bombers and sixers, Pricing is decent.
Rather spacious wine/beer store with separate rooms for wines and beers.
The beer selection is really good with focus on quality and MN beers. Almost all beers available as singles. Friendly and knowledgeable service. The location is a bit tricky between Mnpls and St Paul.
Great place. It’s been some time since I visited, but it was a pleasant one, when I did. This place has a vast selection of beers, almost to the point where I was overwhelmed, which is good. The prices were average, the service helpful, but not intrusive. I remember being able to find Surly Blakkr here, when it was just released. At the time of my visit, the store was one side beer, and one side wine; hence the name. I don’t typically care about ambiance, but it seemed very austere when I visited. Overall, they had a great selection, fair prices, and the beers I was looking for, so what’s to complain about?
Oh man what a great place. The guys that work here will talk to you about beer for hours if you let them. They always get the special stuff but don’t always have the best selection for the normal. The bomber selection is weak. Still like the place a lot.

Good selection for the state including mixed 6 pak section. Vg service. A bit out of the way.
Pretty sweet place, I know the staff decently well, as I’m good friends with both the their former beer guys Mark. Great selection with lots of singles. One of the best bottle shops in the Twins Cities.

Very cool old building. I walked into the beer side and a beer guy approached me and we talked beer for a long time. Great selection separated by styles. Like the four firkins but without the attitude. I will be back to this place again.
A nice store with a great selection of singles and a nice feel. Two rooms, one dedicated to wine and another to beer and cider with a nice rustic feel. Service was good with very knowledgeable employees. Great selection which is showcased by there large mix six selection. Prices are inline with other top area stores. A great store overall.
Definitely wins for ambience, but that’s not really why you go to beer store. Others are trashier but might have more beer. I liked the layout and it definitely has a solid selection of American craft beer, my impression, though was that it was weaker on Belgians.
