When Russian River was busy we stopped by here. They were prompted to serve and the food was good. Decent lineup of beers with casks available, however they wouldn’t do short pours/tasters of certain beers. Worth the stop if your ticking San Rosa.
A nice brewpub around the corner from Russian River with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. It has the feel of a European pub, complete with some cask offerings. The selection is solid and the service is good, as is the value. I didn’t eat, but the menu looked good. Worth a stop if you’re in town.
Visited on Monday 28/04/14 around 7pm.
Located just a few blocks from RR there’ll alway be an air of ’you’ve tried the best, now try the rest’ but a tickers gotta tick - RIGHT?
3SAW has an industrial kind of feel to it, steel, metal, 2 levels, brew kit on show.
10 of their own beers on tap and available in a tasting flight. 1 of the beers - a sour, was downright undrinkable - rancid cheesy nastyness. I questioned the bar tender and she said (usual patronising BS that I’ve heard before) ... not everyone likes sours, thats how its meant to be ... what your rotting cunt having not washed for 5 weeks???
Ok place for some ticks.
Visited on a Monday evening in February 2014 after our visit to Russian River Brewing. I kind of liked this place, it was relaxed and not that crowded. The service was very friendly and fast. The beers were nice except for the Cherry Springer that was a strange one.
Located about five minutes from Russian River so a combination of these two places might be a good idea.
A pint only cost 5$, that’s really cheap.
It’s hard to get love so close to the other guys, but the beer overall was pretty decent and was actually quit nice. A quiet location and big patio also work in their favour. I wasn’t wowed, but pretty satisfied.
Finally came here, despite being just a few minutes away many times. Large brewpub that was packed on a weekend night. Tons of beers on tap, about 12 or 14. They do them all in samples, which is quite nice. And the samples are cheap. Unfortunately, the majority of the beers are subpar or mediocre. They did have a seasonal IPA that was good, though. Service was very quick and pretty friendly. Food is pretty typical of a bar/brewpub--burgers, fries, etc. but the garlic fries were really good. I wouldn’t mind hanging out here at all if the beers were better.
I visited here a couple weekends ago. Parking was really easy here, and the place is a very spacious two-story brewery. Plenty of seating and a bit of a sleepy, quiet place. They had about 8 beers on tap, and the bartenders were quick and attentive. I didn’t try to the food, but the beer I had was decent. A really welcome place compared to the utter madness of Russian River.
