Well I was looking for one good bottle shop to stop at while in Wisconsin, so I decided to stop here. A nice place, good ambiance and helpful employees. I was impressed by the bar-like feel to it, but honestly I was a little disappointed by the selection. They had an entire wall of singles with some pretty good stuff, but they only had 4 varieties of New Glarus and a lot of the more common craft beers/imports rather than a huge WI area. Also, this place is way overpriced compared to many other liquor stores in Wisconsin. Still worth a visit though.
Great little place with a real neighborhood feel. Great selection of micros and imports available as singles. Selected beers on tap every week and free tastings and brew classes. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff and a great all around atmosphere.
A real oasis in southwestern Milwaukee County (there is almost no competition for Three Cellars, just grocery stores with weak selections). Three Cellars relocated Jan. 1, 2009, from a brightly lighted and boring strip mall to this warm, friendly space with a small bar (perfect for the free weekly Saturday afternoon wine and beer tastings). Wisconsin beers remain the strength (owner, Shawn, has been known to drive to smaller WI breweries with minimal distribution networks to ensure a better selection). All beers available as singles and a little discount offered for folks who register (free) on his website. Also possible to purchase a beer for consumption while you browse. A very nice shop.
Went there because they had a free tasting if IPAs. The tasting wasn’t all that special. Just 5 brews, starting with crap then getting better. Great selection of micro brews all down one aisle. The dude working there was pretty helpful, and told me a bunch of beers he was still trying to get his hands on. Good selection of Founder’s, Left Hand, Sprecher, New Glarus, Avery, Sierra Nevada, Moylan’s and plenty others. Decent import selection as well. And almost everything they sell is available in a 12 oz. bottle, which was awesome.
5 minutes from the airport. Nice selection of singles and very helpful. I managed to pick up over a case of beer I havenít had and with 4,400 ratings, thatís getting hard to do! See joebrew for details as he says it all regarding the selection! Free beer tastings every Saturday from 1-6 to boot...

Stopped by Three Cellars, after realizing it was only a 5 minute drive from the hotel i was staying at, so I by-passed the famous Discount Liquor. This store reminds of Dennis Brothers back in the Twin Cities as it was meticulously organized and the man working there (the owner?) was knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He told me about the tastings which I am going to try and make on Saturday. I always love hitting Wisconsin liquor stores to pick up the brews I canít get back in MInny, but this one took the cake as there was a big singles section that will only continue to grow. A great shop with plenty of Stone, Lake Louie, Tyranena, South Shore, Lakefront, Great Lakes, and more! I will certainly be back next time I am in the area! The only drawback was lack of quality imports, specifically Belgians, although they did have some Ola Dubh 30 in stock when I stopped!
Iíve lived less than a mile from this store since it opened and Iíve never stopped in, thinking it was just another liquor store. After reading everyoneís comments on here I decided to check it out... what took me so long? This is a great store. The selection of singles is very impressive. The owner states they are at 500 on their way to 800! They carry many Wisconsin beers I had never heard of or seen until ratebeer.com (like Lake Louie) and a good selection of other beers from around the country and globe. The owners are very friendly and they have many free tasting opportunities - every Saturday and a Brewery event each month. Iíve been to a few tastings and as a newbie, thatís a great opportunity for me to try a lot of different beers... and of course buy a lot of different beers. They recently got in a shipment of glassware (Stella Artois/Duvel/Delirium/etc) , so thatís a bonus too. I recommend this place highly if in the area.
I stopped by Three Cellars on the way home from Chicago. The layout was bright, clean, and well-organized (as mentioned), and it looked like the impressive array of beers was all available in single form. The emphasis was on US micros, and I was able to pick out a bunch that I hadnít tried. The service was excellent, and I was informed of upcoming events. I will drop by whenever Iím in the area.

Very clean and well organized liquor store. Ever expanding selection of singles, wine selection is impressive as well. The one knock I would give it is that there are not very many Belgian single offerings although this will be changing in the future I am told. The free tastings usually contain one or two gems.
