A well-kept, rather small pub with a L-shaped room in dark and light interiors with a retro touch, including large wooden tables. Seven cask ales mostly from regional breweries. The ales we had were in fine condition. Solid bottled range as well. Friendly service. Unfortunately, the music played at our stay was just crap. (Visited with Finn 30.04.2017).
Three Tuns was the last pub on an excellent Sunday pub crawl in Bristol. We started with breakfast and a good drinking session at Commercial Rooms (JDW), followed by Zerodegrees, Green Man, Beerd Bristol, BrewHouse & Kitchen, Victoria, Hope & Anchor, Bag O Nails, Lime Kiln, and Three Tuns. We tasted and rated more than 30 new ales and walked about 13000 steps. Highly recommended.
One of the best Bristol beer pubs outside of King Street. Nicely gloomy and with a bizarre taste in beers. Handpumped cask-conditioned Munchener anyone? No, me neither. Seriously tasty sausage rolls. Day 2 of your week-long visit to Bristol, beer capital of the UK.
Visited the 20th August 2016 - nice cosy pub near to centre of Bristol. Good cask beer selection. Service is friendly and helpful. Snack is available but no food. Nice terrace on the right. Good ambiance, live music when I visited. Highly recommended. A nice pub in a nice town.
2015-09-21. Cozy spot that has a traditional feel to the space but the furniture and decorations are more modern. Nirvana t-shirt wearing bartender is friendly and does a good job of steering me towards some food options in town. 7 casks 7 kegs. Staff started singing between customers and weren’t half bad in a cheeky sort of way. Other bartender found a power cable for my power bank, so it’s an instant favourite just for that! Good music, not too loud. (The Hives just came on prompting my comment.) Domino’s pizza guy arrived to deliver a stack of pizzas! That’s amazing. Well worth a visit.
Great little pub. Nice range of Arbor on cask and keg, with a smattering of other local and regional UK breweries. The food is solid - I greatly enjoyed the burger and the dirty fries. Friendly barman. Good prices. Excellent music.
Probably one of the top five or at least top ten places in Bristol, so certainly worth checking out.
