Lotís of prior reviews are pretty harsh on this place. Iím not a beer snob, so Iím not looking for rare or obscure items. I like a nice selection of IPAís and other ales or seasonals from around the country, and this place has plenty. Prices are good. I like their singles selection.
For this area of the country this is as good as it gets. For north Florida the selection is pretty damn good, but of couse a retailer can only carry what is available through their distributors. If its available here, TW carries it or will order it for you. Their customer service BTW is very attentive. The two big pluses are a fairly wide selection of singles which are nicely displayed seperately from the six-pack shelves. Also, their prices are extremely good (for now at least). The manager told me that the current prices will hold until Oct. "06. However, their prices overall are considerably cheaper than their local competitors. The prices are also clearly displayed. $6.99 for Anchor sixers, $6.99/4 pk. for Unibroue, $4.99 for GD Old Ruffian (22 oz) just as a few examples. Definitely the first place to check out here in the Jax area before going anywhere else.
Grab a few six packs of jai alai and also made two more mixed sixes. Most of the store is wine and spirits. Solid bourbons reasonably priced. Basically 3 long aisles of beer, with 2 being singles. Others were cases of box and crafts. A few coolers in the back. Clean and well laid out, could tick here for years to come. Not the greatest of bottle shops but a recommended stop if looking to pick up some bottles.

Itís a wine store with the largest selection of beers I have ever seen in Jacksonville. OMG. This place is my new beer store.
Ok I am an NYC snob and for North Florida, this place was a godsend on a 4 day trip to Amelia Island. A good enough selection to please almost any beer geek, or wine or booze geek for that matter. Excellent prices, very good selection, cigars to boot. In the same strip mall is a Publix supermarket for ice and foam coolers, a decent chocolate shop and a starbucks for a bathroom and a frap. Cheers!
Tough to give an ambiance and service rating to a national chain, but theyíre fine considering. Selection is quite good, pretty much the best you can get in a beer store in Jax. Prices are average to high. Like most have said, no reason to go out of your way, but if youíre in the area, itís possible you might find something youíre looking for.
Definitely a big box wine store, but donít be fooled. In the back, left corner of the store is where youíll find the beer. They have a great selections of singles to make six packs. Was able to pick up some stuff I canít get access to here in Georgia (Allagash, Dogfish Head, Lost Coast, etc.) Just past the domestic singles, they have beers grouped by country. I never had anyone come up to me and ask if I needed any help, but I knew what I was looking for so I didnít really need it. Only dust on a few bottles, so the supply looks to be pretty fresh. If you are in the Jacksonville Beach, Town Center area, definitely take a peek at what they have to offer.
