Typical total wine grocery store like layout. Decent value on craft beers. Good selection of brews. The beer selection is sort of spread out over a few isles. If you’re in the area it’s definitely a good place to stop in.
Total Wine & More is like an alcohol department store. Lots of wine, hard liquor and a couple rows of beer. One row is your singles and big bottles. The other row is six, four packs, etc and yes you can get some of the better stuff via six or 4 pack (at a far reduced price I may add). These are all warm and you can get cold beer in the back. They also have generic empty six pack cartons you can use to make your own variety six pack. The selection is pretty good too. I think anything can be purchased as a single. Prices seem to be reasonable and actually the cheapest in the area and I can imagine this place appeals to a wide range of drinkers. With any specific questions you won’t get the knowledge you would get over at Big C Liquors or Knightly Spirits though. Located off of Colonial Square near downtown.
OK, obviously ambiance is not very high as it is basically a warehouse type setup. The service is eager to please, but the problem is nobody there knows anything about beer. The beer selection is very good, and most are available as singles. There’s nothing super rare, but the overall selection does beat out 95% of stores in the area. Only store I have seen with a better beer selection in the area is Knightly Spirits. Pricing on most items is excellent, and they do mess up in your favor on occassion, though people snatch up the errors very quickly. This is my main beer/liquor store, as its very close to my house, but I’ll still make the trek out to Knightly for the really good stuff.
If YOU know what you’re looking for then this is the place to go. If you need help, go to Knightly Spirits. Their St. Bernardus, Three Philosophers, Dogfish, etc. is less expensive and they run coupons in the paper from time to time. I have found that the more time I have to browse the better the stuff I find. Their stockers make mistakes and mislabel and put beer int he wrong place. I realize I go to a wine store for beer and I have to do the legwork.
Best selection of bottles in Orlando I’ve seen so far. One row dedicated entirely to singles and another 2 for sixes and cases. The staff unfortunately was not the most helpful.

Good beer selection albeit spread across the giant store sporadically. Had a good selection of Bells, Victory and a lot of weird stuff like Laughing Dog and other bombers of weird things I have no interest in. Decent single bottles selection. Nothing like De Dolle or Struise that you find at Knightly Spirits. And fairly minimal Cigar City stuff it seems like. Maybe 5-6 different CCB bottles. BUT, I did find beer from Haiti here! Pretty difficult tick to procure. Also found Nicaragua and Guatemala beer ticks. Sweeet. Bought an Oak Aged Yeti and Victory Helios as well. So a nice place to stop by if you’re on your way to Redlight Redlight, but it isn’t a must go to place like Knightly Spirits on Orange Blossom Trail.
I can’t lie. As much as I try to support the little guy, I end up here quite a bit (it’s conveniently located to the in laws). It’s a warehouse format, with a staggering amount of options in any beverage format, and a none too shabby humidor. However, where big money definitely equals big options, you definitely lose the hands on knowledge in favor of a more wal-mart approach of stocking what’s popular, and the staff not having much idea of what they’re selling you (there are a few exceptions if you take the time to chat, but a lot of the staff picks tend to focus more on decent cheap liquor in quantity, rather than quality and knowledge).
Well I was a bit disappointed by this. While the selection is large, its just not very good. For some brewers, like Ballast Point, the selection was pretty good, but on the whole it was a lot of mediocre beers. Scattered organization too. If they could only put as much thought into their beer organization as they do in the wine section. Didn’t factor into my rating; the bu the bourbon selection was esp disappointing. The little liquor stores near my house have a better selection in that regard.
